I’m so tired of Joy and people like her saying the economy is thriving bc I’d like to know where. I live in nyc and the cost of living is absolutely insane. Nothing has gone down. It has stayed up and continued to go up in some consumer products. Groceries, electricity, water, gas etc. Ppl are being replaced with AI in jobs. Self checkouts are replacing ppl in jobs so wtf is she talking about.
@ktbn22 Yeah I know. They won't be able to hire the people back who they got rid of during covid to save money. Now it came back to bite them and no one is willing to work a minimum wage job when it can't pay the bills.
All I hear in the news nowadays are giving migrants first priority on jobs! What happened to jobless Americans first? I'm sick of how Americans are treated as second class citizens!
The high paying jobs were cut by the president his first year. The last guy 45 had the lowest unemployment rates in 50 years no inflation no recession lower taxes. Lowest black unemployment rate ever. Now there’s only low paying jobs high inflation can’t even get check to check. Trump also did the insulin cap at $35. 3 years ago. A CNN poll only polls progressive liberals That’s why Nikki Haley beat Biden by six points. If it was a Conservative poll Trump would be leading.
How great is Alyssa? Her view was CLEARLY unpopular with the audience, but she has the grace and professionalism to just roll with it without getting flustered and still stays cordial and respectful. What an excellent addition to the panel she is
Alyssa is smart enough to understand context and situations. The audience did not boo her - they booed at her comment. She didn’t take it personally when we all know Me-Again would have thrown a tantrum on air.
Can you imagine what Meghan's reaction would have been to those boos? I'm really glad Alyssa is here now. She doesn't take things personally, she's confident in her opinion and unfazed by peoples disagreements.
Megan was the only smart person on the show. Did I like her No! Yet she knew her politics prepared for her day. These Ladies have a mic in their ear & are told what to say.
Joy says “We added 187,000 jobs, that’s great right?” Wrong! People have picked up second and third jobs just to put food on the table! Wake up lady!!!
Alyssa has so much class compared to some other people who have sat in that seat. That was the proper response to the audience's reaction. I mean, I might have had the same reaction and it wouldn't have been any malice to her, but she took that with such grace and flipped it into a great moment for her. Really hope she stays for a long time.
@@funkspinna there was no hypocrisy there. sunny didn't say private school is bad, she said taking public money away from public schools to allow _some_ children to go to private school is wrong. which is obvious.
Actually, Ana, there are people running against him and there could more had the DNC not vowed to destroy the candidacy of anyone who “dared” challenge Biden and point out what a weak candidate he actually is.
Alyssa handled the boos with grace and didn’t get all screechy and start yelling “well my dad”. Booing is not ok, I don’t agree with her but I always appreciate her view. She’s smart and gets her point across articulately and with manners. As a staunch liberal, Biden was not my first second or third choice. I do seriously think that democrats should think about someone who could beat the likes of Nikki Hayley, ignoring that would be a mistake.
Why? Through what we have already seen from every other aspects of privatization, "school choice" won't actually make good private schools more accessible to poor students.

What do you think will happen with Private School tuition under a program that basically gives every student a per diem style amount?
That's because corporations are screwing all of us to maximize their profits. There were oil executives who testified before congress and literally admitted to inflating their prices because they felt justified to do so after making losses during COVID. That isn't the fault of the government.

Marianne Williamson and Kennedy are running just because the Democrats Party is ignoring them doesn't mean others are not running against Biden. Personally I like that Williamson is running on Progressive platform.
Alyssa keep telling us what we don't want to hear but many times she's telling us what many others are feeling and thus her opinion should not be ignored.

An entire industry has been on strike for a year, many of us have been unemployed or underemployed since the start of the pandemic. Jobs are back, but money is not, especially when inflation and interest rates make it impossible to come back when wages remain abysmally low.
I always thought the way sunny spoke about her child hood that she was living in poverty. I had no idea she went to the best private schools in the most expensive city in the world
I grew up the same way but got inner city scholarships to go to elementary school and high school. still very expensive but the education you're offered is completely different than public schools and it shouldn't be that way. @@javiruiz8365
Such a good conversation. I appreciated how Sunny finally admitted things aren’t the best under Biden rather than blindly defending him. He isn’t awful, but he’s not perfect either and we need to be able to admit that in order to try and fix the messaging issues.

I’m a democrat my #1 grievance is immigration. I’m starting to get beyond heated over it. I also have serious concerns over Biden cognitive health. I wouldn’t trust him to drive a car, why am I expected to vote for him? I honestly think he’s done a poor job and I would welcome another democrat to run. I’m really hoping someone can get into his ear and he decides against running again.

My God, the only person that is not a hypocrite is Alyssa and she’s a conservative I think she may be one of the best conservatives the show has ever had.
Difference is that at the time, if you sent kids to private school, it didn't pull funding from public schools. You paid additional to send them to private.
Get the public schools to advance and be on par with private schools that parents voting with their funds in their pocket now make their own informed decision as to where to send their children. No more slacking from public schools.
I don't get Alyssa's point though. Sunny chose to send her kids to private school b/c she had means. Not all families have the choice to send them private...

Can The View please issue a correction for the false information that no one is running against Biden. Williamson and Kennedy are both running against Biden for the democratic nomination. I love the ladies, but find it hard to believe that they genuinely didnt know this, so it grieves me to say that this feels like blatant misinformation and something I expect from Fox and not my ladies.
This lie was intentional... they usually interview all Presidential candidates on the show... not this time! They think RFK is a quack for not going along with medical global terrorism.

Just want to point out for the comments that a low approval rating ≠ whether they’ll vote for him or not. Biden isn’t favorable but better than the alternative. That’s how a LOT of non-Republican voters see him

People who shouldn’t be homeless are right now. Normal people are being priced out just basic apartments 1,800 in middle America and 3k in big cities. Take up most of peoples money working jobs that dehumanize them. People are lonely I’ve never seen more single people in my life and no one has enough money to date let alone marry and have a family. Make sure big money stops buying up all the homes pricing normal people out ! Regulate big tech so they stop profiting off our attention span and numbing us. We need to secure the border so we know who is coming in and Americans aren’t discouraged even more! Stop locking people up for stupid tickets and petty crimes! I grew up in Louisiana where several households sent their kids to private schools since they were affiliated with a religious group (catholic, Baptist, etc) but the public schools where I grew up were just as good of an education for me so my parents sent me there. It’s okay for parents to have the choice in what school they send their kid to if they want a specific education for their kid. It’s not okay for those parents to infiltrate the public schools to get the “type” of schooling they want. They are never advocating for STEM or CTE classes but instead wanting religious classes. That is the problem with the “parental rights” discussions. If you want your kid to get a religious education then they can send them to those schools but you don’t have a right to dictate what public school teach even though it’s not to your liking.
Marianne Williamson and RFK Jr. are running on the democratic side as well. I love the View but am disappointed that they do not acknowledge the other candidates or the rest of the polling.
Sunny is so rude and always comes off as very arrogant. Even though she is sharing her "view", it seems like she presents it in a way that she is "right" and you are "wrong". That's the beautiful thing about opinions, everybody's opinion is right and they are free to have it!
Not a conservative in the least, but I really hate how rude Joy and Sunny can be to Alyssa. Alyssa is not like previous conservative hosts, she has intelligent insights and backs up her thoughts with receipts. Joy and Sunny have to actually do some homework and not just throw shade.
Joy demonstrates the perfect example as to why they are out of touch. “Statistically the economy is doing great!” Clearly his approval rating says otherwise

Turning!” Alyssa handled it with such grace and poise. Such a great addition…
Money in schools doesn’t mean a lot. My town built 1 high school for whole town. It’s a beautiful campus they spared no expense. Now, they have allowed students from other communities to go here and the crime in school is through the roof. It’s unbelievable how fast they destroyed that school. So money doesn’t mean anything if parents don’t teach their kids how to be normal
Statistically the job numbers are good. Yet, my company and so many others are reducing their workforce. I just lost my job today! I voted for Biden and am PISSED about what's going on!!

There are jobs, but they aren't good jobs. I keep hearing that inflation is down, but grocery prices are unbelievably high. Everything is so expensive! I don't think these wealthy women understand what it's like for the rest of us. Of course I will vote for Biden, but my only motivation is that the alternative is unthinkable.

@@JackWeed-nm1vq - Inflation is the US is naturally going to be lower than other these other countries because we have the largest economy, the reserve currency, and the largest oil reserves. The fact that inflation is as high as it is, despite these facts is very troubling. Secondly, inflation isn't down. It is just now being compared to the 10%+ it was at a year ago. Prices are still increasing, just not as fast as last year.

@@RockinLoud360 that's definitely a conversation to be had but one idea I would suggest is drilling more oil so that we can use our own natural resources and not have to outsource so much. but Biden is in office right now so we have to hold him accountable, not republicans.

Stop looking at statistics and ask people on the ground who are trying to pay bills what it costs to do so as opposed to only a few years ago! The rate of inflation increase is down, but inflation is way up and this is the issue for those of us us in the trenches! When you miss this, you miss the discontent of the American people and a fundamental disconnect of this discussion! And btw, with low unemployment, having a job doesn't mean one is paying the bills! Some us have spent a year to years, at a financial deficit, digging ourself out of a financial mire due to the events of the Covid crisis, only to now be met with much higher prices for everything!
I honestly can’t with the people who attended private school and sent their kids to private schools are the ones always complaining about private schools. Like you can’t look down on public schools but under the same breath disagree with private schools charging for higher education. Like choose a struggle
I HATE that I'm 40, never owned a home but I've bought 4 cars, wait-what?! YES I lived in 5 apartments since I was 24 & I live paycheck to paycheck 🙃 and I have 2 kids with my boyfriend of almost 20 years & we can't afford to take vacations or get married or save for our future. We constantly put ourselves last because life puts the all mighty dollar 1st. We just have been existing in this world & raising our kids the best way we can. Daycare was a challenge, Doctor visits were hard to make, we didn't enroll our daughters in youth programs or pre-k because it wasn't in our area, there were wait lists, & we couldn't afford it. Too many disappointed days weeks months & years. So much time wasted. Our daughter's are in middle school and high school now--we have to help them get cars & go to college. All the while, jobs pay you $#!% or you get laid-off multiple times. When is it ever going to stop!!!!!!??????🤯🤯🤯

These women on The View are soooooooo out of touch. They make millions going on national television spewing bias commentary ....they aren't 9 to 5ers like most of us where we have to worry about food cost, rent/mortgage, bills and other costs that have seen an increase BECAUSE of inflation
My God, the way Alyssa handled the public reaction compared to MM. The show is no longer toxic. It really is incredible. And also shocking how one bad seed can have such a terrible impact on a group, a company, any environment really. I'm very happy with this new addition and with such a cohesive and healthy group.
