Dude, look where you are! There are soooo many successful black people today than there ever was! You & I came from families that didn't offer us much, but you are where you are and I'm a struggling widow of 2. I don't want sympathy from anyone, I want to overcome that thing in me that has held me back from reaching for everything. The thing you have that I don't! It's not our skin color, it's mostly who we are & how we are raised. I grew up hearing, "If I can't have something nice, you can't have something nice." My mom would tell me I would never amount to anything if I didn't learn how to type. She was mad at me bc I didn't want to take typing class - and she let me know it. I never heard from them, "What do you want to be? What are you interested in?" I didn't look for anything I'd b interested in doing until after my kids were born & you know raising them and dealing with an abusive husband put things off awhile, buy now I'm 53 and now is my turn! But I have to find it, nobody is going to hand it to me. Just like you got yourself where you are, and it's awesome & amazing! Be proud of that. I reject these highly pessimistic views of race relations in our country today. It's all come down to Dems vs Republicans, and "all Republicans are white supremacists -- that's horseshit. We are more than just those in govt....my god I think people don't really think about people in other bubbles anymore. Our bubble is bigger, and we are struggling under Joe Biden. Forget our colors, we are all broke and broken!

Heard CTG on Rush years ago, and he has matured alot. Much less angry. Don't agree with most of what he believes, but he seems to be softening his stance, willing to listen and at least think about how others see things, which to me is a big step.

In 64 The Mississippi chapter of the Ku Klux Klan firebombs 20 predominantly Black churches, and then (with the aid of local police) murders civil rights activists James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner. So let’s first acknowledge history and maybe then we can “move forward”.

Who exactly is supposed to acknowledge it for this to be satisfied? So many people in our country have already acknowledged. There’s been systemic racism, but just don’t believe it still exists. So what point do we all acknowledge it? When does that happen? Is it if the president says so? Is it it if the head each government agency says so? When when is it?
