He was a public defender part time for about a year. He was not a champion for the Civil Rights Movement. Bernie Sanders, on the other had, participated in peaceful protests fighting for Civil Rights. He was fined for resistimg arrest during a protest against segregstion in Chicago's public schools. He attemded the 1963 March on Washington where MLK gsve his "I have a dream speech". Bernie did this because he has always been passionate about equality. He was not a politician at the time. He never brags about his participation. His staffers dug up a photograph of him resistimg arrest and used it to create a tshirt during his 2020 campaign. I decided today that in the 2024 general election, I am voting for Dr. Cornell West. I can't in good conscience vote for a lying felon or for a man sufferimg from rapid and serious cognitove decline. Dr. Cornell West is an intelligent, compassionate, and truly womderful human being. He could help heal our nation.

I see President Biden is a "young whippersnapper" in comparison to Bishop Ernest Morris who turned 90 years wise in February 2024. 😊😉 My father would have turned 90 this year hadn't he passed away last year in March. America needs to grow out of this ageism and value age as experience and not make fun of like others do. I saw my father as a beacon of light and as my lighthouse of guidance in this world and not as an old person as he aged, but as my fortitude. If Americans don't want someone over 60 in either the presidency, congress, supreme court or any governmental post ask congress to pass an amendment to the constitution setting a limit of age for these governmental important posts.

Out of curiosity, what changed Southerner Blacks' mindsets to where they support a person who was against the Civil Rights Bill. ALL Southern Democrats in office at the time (don't believe he held office at that time) opposed the Civil Rights Bill as well (can be found on US Senate website)) a supporter of Segregation. A member of the Party responsible for the creation of Ku Klux Klan. A person who spoke at Robert Byrd's funeral and stated, (Robert Byrd - a known racist) was his (Biden's), mentor. Someone, as recently as July, 2024, ignored one of his young black supporters at his own Rally, who was patiently and anxiously awaiting to greet him - he talked to the gentlemen before her, skipped over her, and spoke to the other women. Her heart was hurt. There are so many incidents over the past 40+ years where statements & actions are clearly racist, i dont understand... I'm truly curious and hoping for honest opinions.
