The first debate of the 2024 presidential election is in the history books. But the question now is whether President Joe Biden will remain in the race after a weak performance. Meanwhile, his opponent, Donald Trump, is keeping his focus on Biden's slip-ups. VOA’s Carolyn Presutti takes a look.

Tell me you opinion of the following: What is happening is because the job description/ minimum requisite requirements for employment as a politician must include creating laws to protect the public regarding prohibition of use of animal hormones, food additives in food, fruit and vegetable pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, colorings, chickens must be free range raised, unnatural ingredients including nanoparticles, prohibition of corporate ownership of any element of the food supply, legally mandate suing pharmaceutical companies for injuries and false claims, and so forth. In other words, the consent of the governed must be updated to reflect contemporary times. $5,000 limitations on “single source, or related source” contributors for political campaigns for elected office, no contributions from political action committees (PACs), pharmaceutical, petroleum, all other historic corporate contributors of undue influence on legislation injurious to “public good” or “public health.”
