The US president, Joe Biden, has said he is unsure if the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is delaying a peace deal in the Middle East in order to influence the outcome of the US election. 'No administration has helped Israel more than I have. None. None. None,' Biden said during a surprise press conference.
'And whether he's trying to influence the election, I don't know,' he added

Because it isn't advice. Israel is not an independent state. When it seems like they are going against the wishes of the US, it's just the US distancing itself from bad press. Israel is basically the 51st state.
