@@bonganigarane5872 Just Google them, this one is Bidvest Burchmore's, there's AuctioOperatio, there's Auction Village, there's SMD, there's a lot of MFC ones, there's GoBid, just Google them
True, Bidvest prices are a little steep compared to other auction houses. But most of their cars are in great condition compared to most auction houses, so that comes as a big factor. But overall definitely steeper than other houses.
This question has been answered quite a couple of times in the comments in length, but the purpose of that is to redirect the exhaust smoke outside as breathing it in indoors is quite harmful
Most of the cars are repos, you are allowed to come check out the cars 24hrs before the auction and can even bring your own technician to run diagnostics on it before the auction. So there's no chance you bought a car not knowing it was gonna give you issues, It would be ignorance on your side not the auction house. To qualify you'd either need to have the the money(total price of the car including vat) of the car you'd like to buy in full or get pre-finance from the auction house (before the auction). You'd also need to pay a R5000 refundable registration fee. You can check out part 2 and 3 price comparison tool to see if you getting the best deal or not. Not sure I understand your fist question, but they usually drop the price by no more than 10k from the initial ask price( there's obviously outliers) and if no one bids, they don't sell and try again the following week.
Some are especially when using the comparison tool in part 2 & 3 PART 2 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bvRBhMYMSqI.html Part 3 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3lYvLmYIA1k.html
The auctioneer doesn't usually go lower than 10k from the initial Ask price but in this video he went 40k lower on an Audi, so yes you can bid lower than the auction price with that in mind. In part 2 and 3 bidders offered lower prices than the ask price, in part 2 the auctioneer didn't budge to one and sold to one but in part 3 they met halfway and sold. They not hiding anything, most of their cars aren't smoking anyway and if they are then they had been declared and presented to you 24hrs before the auction so you'd know beforehand if a car was smoking or not there wouldn't be a need to hide. What they are actually doing is redirecting the exhaust smoke outside as the auction is indoors and regardless of their attempts, over time you start to feel the effects of the smoke you breath in.
I don't think so since if no bids are made the car simply comes next week on the next auction. But if you were to offer same price as their initial ask if not more, I don't see why they wouldn't take it unless they strict on the auction but that'd be silly. But then again if you couldn't buy it during the auction then surely you can't buy it after, not much difference except you at a disadvantage if you decide to do it privately and somehow they budge cause you'll be overcharged.
Not really. Most people are there to watch how much the cars are going for and how low the auction house is willing to go. Since most cars come back every weekend, people don't bid in hopes that the prices go lower since the cars have no bidders. They do more of a waiting game, sometimes it pays off and sometimes you lose to someone bidding early. I met a few people there who were collecting data week in week out just to get the best deal.
@@phildoom2329 Yeah it's a good habit to go spectate a couple random auctions before buying your first car just to know if you getting a good deal or not.
