Recently, the City of Mobile completed a $3.2 million renovation of Bienville Square that really opened up the space and added several great features, including new walkways, bluestone pavers, improved landscaping, new seat walls along the park's perimeter and upgraded lighting throughout the park. A complete renovation of the iconic Ketchum Fountain has also added dynamic lighting so that the lights in Bienville Square can change colors to match the city skyline.
Thank everyone who had a hand in this project. From the project managers and contractors to the staff members, and to everyone who came out to celebrate Bienville Square's 200th year celebration. This was a great example of what Bienville Square has always been: a place for birthdays, games, art, music and food - a place for Mobilians to gather together. Here’s to another 200 years of memories!
