That’s why we call Wonder Girls, SNSD, and 2NE1 legends because they opened for girl groups to be more recognised. I remember how hard for ggs to thrive during the early time because bgs are dominating the industry not until this 3 legends came and started winning in music shows and award shows
That's why BTS didn't paved the way there are so many legendary idols rather than them. Yes they did a huge impact on the kpop industry but let's appreciate those legends who did something in the past.
@@emmanuelco8963 this is definitely true because if we think about it although BTS did made a huge they are walking on a path that was already been laid for them by the previous generation hats off for Wonder Girls for taking the risk and marketing their songs in USA
SM - Versatility ( they can pull off any concept) YG - Hiphop/ Girl Crush ( they broke the stereotype of kpop about Girl Group) JYP - Every GG have concept from Broadway to Sexy to Cute to Teen Crush BIG3 IT IS !!
@@thebtchqueen6161 omg so if its a story Sm- the good/cute/pure queem Yg- evil villain Jyp- cute/sexy queen Edit:Sorry i mean queen my keyboard is just so wrong today

@@jungkookiekutter657 yes sadly. :/ they should step it up nc that aesthetic is overused now in kpop. they almost have the same color scheming and pattern :((((
Um... for Koreans actually JYP produced megahit songs. Tell Me was a national meme and Good Girl Bad Girl is the most successful Girl Group debut song to this day!
@@jodypark8898 My perspective is coming as a KPop fan from outside of Korea. I’ve never heard the first song and I think the second one you mentioned is Miss A if I’m not mistaken. The point of my original post is that YG is known for its artists with big international platforms (2NE1, Blackpink, etc.) who dominate the world. SM is known for its artists that’re rated favorably by both fans and critics alike (SNSD, EXO, Red Velvet, etc.). And JYP are known for their artists who captivate the nation and really form a bond with the public (Twice, Got7, Stray Kids, Itzy, etc.). I’m not knocking JYP or SM’s abilities to have big hits because they clearly do have them. But, YG has songs under it’s belt like “I Am The Best” and “Ddu Du Ddu Du” that the entire world knows.
@@jodypark8898 YG has produce some of the biggest hits in KPOP.... BANGBANG,D4,LOVE SCENARIO,REALLY REALLY,,I AM THE BEST etc....Yg are known as digital monsters
1. Red Velvet’s discography is so diverse I never knew, they never miss 2. Twice has literally been killing the kpop game since debut and they’re still killing it 3. Blackpink really changed the game forever
@@fantasticbaby4482 no it’s never confirmed and they wouldn’t not debut a new girl group after 5 years of having blackpink they need a new girl group before blackpink disbands so they would most likely kick Vicky (the one who said the n word) out from debuting
If I wasn't a kpop stan and you told me SNSD, Rv, aespa, and F(x) are in the same company u wouldn't have believed you. SM GG are so diverse and versatile! Truly queens
@@yangpdv like they dont stay with just one concept everytime they comeback you will always think what will they do next. I love the versatility of SM artist
@@racquelcontante5426 Yes, what's more interesting is that many of their songs are still a bop or being appreciated by many after years. It feels like it's ahead of its time.
How tf SM groups are so versatile with their concepts. Like literally you can't call f(x) the "next SNSD" or RV as the "next f(x)" or Aespa as the "next RV". They all have their own identities far from the shadow of their senior groups. The common theme tho is "vocals".
SM themselves called Aespa the "next bp" i was like wth cuz Aespa is Aespa & bp is bp. They should market aespa as aespa. Those girls got a lot of potential.
@@twiceender yeah I also saw a lot of people calling them second f(x) and I thought so too, I really appreciate how SM groups don't stick with one concept it's risky but interesting and amazing
As soon as Red Velvet enters the scene you can clearly see the change of aesthetics for the whole kpop industry. Make-up, hair, filming, edition, fashion, sets etc. 2015 wa a turn around for kpop
Agree. But the biggest flex is actually in the music-wise. Red Velvet's versatility and distinct discography adds many different colors and flavors to the K-Pop's music.
SNSD, F(x), and Red Velvet were truly unique not gonna lie they really have wide discography especially Red Velvet plus Aespa who have only three songs yet have shown a lot of themselves already. My biggest flex is being a SM artist stan.
SNSD literally reigned for a whole decade. That is LEGENDARY, especially in kpop where groups disband left and right. They also entered the industry during a time when boy groups dominated and there had never been a "large" girl group with 9 members before. Trendsetters, icons, LEGENDS!
The way YG girl groups have managed to become huge globally is insane. People love powerful image, both 2NE1 and BLACKPINK are overflowing with stage presence and they look like the bad bitches you don't want to mess with.
“you don’t want to mess with” most of these girls have the bodies of 12year old boys. Wtf are you even saying? Bad bitches? Y’all learn slang from twitter and use it everywhere on anything🤮 please stop
@@layan500 snsd is another way to say Girls’ Generation! It’s an abbreviation of their Korean name and most kpop fans say SNSD since it’s quicker/easier to say!!
Why WG, GG and 2NE1 remains legendary is that Wonder Girls basically introduced or paved the way for K-pop to America with their song Nobody. 2NE1 proved that girl groups aren’t all about being cute and girly. They represented Girl Power. And lastly, Girls’ Generation started the era of Girl Group Domination since during that time, boy groups were dominating the K-pop world. Also, GG has it all tbh that is why they’re the Nation’s Girl Group. (Their name alone says it all!!) These three Girl Groups will forever remain legendary and iconic❤️ (Btw, I believed that f(x) and miss-a had so much potential. F(x) being that very unique girl group and Miss A with their woman empowering lyrics but sm and jyp wasted it. Ugh!!!!)
JYP - please the public, on trend, well-belove by the public SM - just wanna be different, experimental, both beloved by the public and their fans YG - be the trend, stick to one concept, well-belove by their fans
I think you are wrong about YG. Dont forget YG is called as digital mafia because all their artist is digital monster and when you got the title as digital monster it means that your song not only loves by your fans but also loves by general public. Bigbang have 6 song that got PAK, blackpink have 3 song that got PAK, 2ne1 also has PAK, ikon has PAK, Park bom has PAK, G Dragon has PAK, AKMU has PAK, Winner has CAK. That's why YG called as Digital Mafia in south korea. And dont forget about Winner and akmu which is well beloved by general public with small fandom, bigbang well beloved by public and fans it is prove by all the PAK they got everytime the make a comeback, and also blackpink that well loved by public and also have huge fandom. YG may got bad image as a trouble maker but once their group rilis a new song then it will be boom cause people always listen to their song no matter how hard they try to hate YG. And talking about concept every group in YG has diffrent colour of music. Winner and akmu has different style of music, blackpink can be baddas and cute concept, meanwhile bigbang has full package cause they use different style of music evertime they comeback from hip hop, RnB, EDM, Ballad, Trap, Electro Pop, even Troth.
@@desirusdianti9305 yep but sadly BP is not in the same wavelength of versatility as their seniors 2ne1 and bigbang. i think what lacks in BP is the wide range of discography, yes they release bops after bops. but they have the same theme and concept. always like "in your face" type of sound. plus what lacks in BP is VOCALS. we had taeyang, daesung and bom and CL voices. it is just fortunate that BP debuted in the era where streaming is a thing, cos if they didn't smh.
I'm not actually a SM stan, just a casual listener but i like how they debut artists with great vocals 'cause Good vocals = can slay any genres and concepts, versatile.
I don't understand why some fans have to be salty. Can't we love and appreciate all of these girl groups? Each of these have been the Queens of their era it's normal.
@@JPerpetualKid That is what you called as versatility. From Happiness to Be Natural, Dumb Dumb to One Of These Nights, Red Flavor to Peek-A-Boo, Zimzalabim to Psycho, basically all Red Velvet's songs are very different and I ain't blame you if you found their distinct discography and versatility could be very weird to few people like you, but that is actually Red Velvet's biggest strength. No one do it like them, and that concept is basically already shows in their name. To me, I found that very pleasing and interesting, it is the one that sets them different from other groups, and that's what attracts me the most. Red Velvet's concept and versatility is sadly also their biggest weakness, so no wonder if they aren't as popular as Twice and Blackpink because their music isn't everyone's cup of tea and they really are never sticks only on one concept and genre, but to musician, music critics, high-musicianship people, and people whose not only follows the hype, Red Velvet's music are very appealing. They aren't called as The Best Idol Group Alive and The Most Musically Interesting Group for nothing. Their existance aren't only intended to granted what people are craving for. Red Velvet's aren't there to create what you want, but they create what you need in music. They always makes something different, not the general ones. RBB and Zimzalabim probably the most criticized title tracks from Red Velvet's by the general public, but to music criticians, they are musically top-notch. RBB is one of the hardest songs in the entire K-Pop's industry and I dare to say that there'll be no one is dare to cover this masterpiece, at least for a couple years ahead. Sorry for the long reply btw, just stating my opinion.
Remember when BLACKPINK first came out and everyone thought they were just going to be just another kpop group? It was during as if it’s your last era too. Now I’m so proud of them.
I have to disagree. Whistle and Boombayah were really good songs to begin with because they sounded Western, so they easily gained international fans + their iconic pre-debut dance practice with BBHMM. It was YG himself who underestimated them. Saying they are just a pretty version of 2NE1.
@lucky same. i was a hardcore blink and not anymore, cos after they released ice cream. I'm like nah, too generic. then ok let's see the next releases, now hylt sounds different and too pretentious? idk :((. i miss as if it's your last era.
Red Velvet has an excellent discography and they weren’t afraid to release a ballad a year into their careers which makes me admire them more just screams versatility, the fact that they’re called the most musically interesting girl group speaks volumes on their range
@@angelouavenido9927 yeah but M.I.L.K and that one girl group(i forgot the name) are not totally produced by SM itself. They're produced by collaborating with other company.

Wonder girls didn't even manage to own changing concepts. In addition, that when sm groups does different concepts, they usually tries most of it. Try checking out SES but mostly f(x) and rv.
after watching this compilation, i literally got a goosebumps, not only these are an example of top tier music, but the evolution from early days of girl group to the current perfomance is amazing. We are living in a golden era, it's a pity that some people focusing on the fanwar when we could enjoy all of them together. The different concept in each release that they serve, OMG! Many rumors about YGNGG and many say that they will debut this year? I really wan't to see the girls 😭😭 And if the rumors are true i will be touched and very grateful to YGE
I hope he let's the new gg and bp live side by side like sm with girlgen and rv!! ending off bp too early when the girls are doing so well is gonna be a big mistake.
@@freddiemercury8521 am I the only one though thats concerned? Because if they debut a girl group now it will take the attention off of Blackpink. Not to mention look bad considering Blackpink has only one full album despite being a group since 2016. They are already way behind so YG’s should focus on them. However, Yg has to debut their new girl group soon otherwise they will be way behind in even being close to leading with the big three in fourth generation.

I just relized the fact that Red Velvet has the most different and interesting concepts I’ve ever seen. Every comeback seems like it’s a different k-pop group. But nevertheless it’s Red Velvet peach 🍑 Stan Queens👸 💗👸💛👸💙👸💚👸💜
SM really had the audacity to put OH!, RUN DEVIL RUN AND HOOT in the same year. It just shows how VERSATILE SNSD is as a group and an artist. Their musicality, artistry and concept are just unrivaled.
Then they did it again in 2017, 2018, and 2019, when Red Velvet made 3 comeback in these 3 years with totally different music and concept. In 2017, with Rookie, Red Flavor, and Peek-A-Boo. Then in 2018, with Bad Boy, Power Up, and RBB. And then in 2019, with Zimzalabim, Umpah Umpah, and Psycho. Let we just say this is the legacy of SM girls.
@yoo jiminator yup they had a bunch, lemme clarify that every single wonder girls title track was at least a hit but i do think them going to the US affected their popularity. but even their least successful title track (i feel you) was a #3 on gaon which is great! be my baby was after these 3 and it was indeed a big hit, it's to this day the song with the most sales in a month in fact! also 2 different tears was #1 on gaon for 3 weeks and barely any girl groups have done that. but their main 3 title tracks (tell me, nobody, so hot) are their biggest to date and some the biggest hits in kpop girl group history
The thing that I love about jyp ladies is that they all have their own concepts. Like Wonder Girls (19s/early 20s vibe), Miss A(sexy and daring vibe), TWICE (Cute Vibes) and ITZY ( Swag and Self Love vibes). and some of their songs are not just about love, boys and hate, some have real deep meanings, like TWICE's "Likey".
RV and SNSD are truly versatile however people also have to recognize that Twice has now become more and more versatile. They showcased it in both their korean and japanese comeback, Can't wait for their English single tho!!
@@myuniverse3161 Wdym? They had two comebacks (plus Jennie’s solo) from 2018 to 2019. And of course the mini albums which both of them included 3 bsides.
The fact that JYP and SM have 4 girl groups but YG is so amazing b'coz they just 2 girl groups and they are so popular and inspiring YG making a legends
I HATE SM FOR THEIR MISTREATMENT TO THEIR GROUPS BUT NGL THEY HAVE THE BEST CONCEPTS FOR THEIR GIRLGROUPS AND THEYRE NOT AFRAID TO TRY SOMETHING NEW. THEY REALLY ARE THE TRENDSETTERS
fun fact: it also marked as JYP's failed American Dream.. and it made WG lose all its market to SNSD back in South Korea and killed that group. I would say JYP should quit his American dream.
BP really has a polished sound! And Red Velvet’s range is crazy. Itzy and Aespa are also closer to cleaner pop but major respect to the legends in the beginning!
2NE1 is legendary they literally won an artist of the year daesang award in their first year of debut and were the first to do so and won 5 more daesangs throughout their career, they were monster rookies and not a single song flopped throughout their career, also they were the ones that brought girl crush to kpop they’re the blueprint indeed YG groups are just built different.
@@reveoncelink6133 they are. They debuted during the time when EXO members and Jessica were leaving and dating issues within the company. The company was at its lowest after reigning the top for several years. And when they debuted, they were hated mostly by the MeUs. soooo yeah
Red Velvet is very unpredictable, they debut with Happiness then Be Natural and Automatic..that's what keeps them interesting for us fans. thats how you break the barrier of sticking to one concept
They became popular bc of their powerful stage presence and catchy songs. I wouldn’t say different concepts really did it, YG doesn’t give them much different things and that’s not their fault at all. Still talented regardless though.

And this is why i say even if bighit breaks the records of the big three's money we can all deny that the big three has the best history of k pop from beginning to the end thats why SM JYP and YG forever
@@culturedswine4003 I think the comment wanted to convey that even thought BigHit is earning more money than the Big 3 now, they still had an undeniable and legendary impact on K pop because they literally built it. BigHit is an amazing company and they honestly (treatment wise) are much better than the Big 3 but more and more people are starting to deny that the Big 3 were more influential to K pop than BigHit (thus far) so I think they just wanted to highlight that. No negativity thought. As I said before, BigHit as a company is better than YG, SM and JYP.
I watch us as Blink is very patient, Blackpink from year to year returns with just one song hahaha. Meanwhile, other groups come back with 2 to 3 songs in one year. This is funny, just lucky in 2020 we will be given 3 comeback 😅🥰
