Well they look very swish ! Fair play to the kind chap that donated them to your cause ! Nice to see there's still some kind people around. Great edit as usual mush . BOOTHY
Better tyres will help a lot with the wheels locking. Remember it doesn't mater how good your brakes are, its the tyres that grip the road. Keep up the good work. From NZ
Marcus can I give you a tip you dogged your dipstick up with silicone mate what you do when fitting o rings put silicon around the o ring it stops the o ring tearing when sliding it back into its housing
When I put new brake fluid in I empty the system and flush it out like normal. Once the old fluid is out I run a pipe from the caliper back to the reservoir and you just pump the pedal and not worry about draining the fluid and getting more air in the system. Easy.
Thanks for the recommendation mate! 👍 I havn't experimented much with brake pads to be honest (my Escorts are only road cars after all) but I'v used the Yellow Stuff ones for years and they seem ok. 👍
Great vid as usual mate, when bleeding brakes I always as good measure I always bleed the furthest away one first then in turn to the shortest run , I know you only changed the front I always do the backs Love the vids
Nice upgrade. So awesome to have them donated. There’s some vacuum bleed kits for doing brakes. Ones hand pumped, and the one I have is air compressor driven. They both do an excellent job and both are available on Amaz0n. Really handy for when no one’s around.
Thanks for the advice mate! 👍 I do have an easy bleed and some one-way valve things at the other garage. This was defo a lazy rushed bleed! Cat was waiting to go to the gym! 😃
@@marcushayesford I understand. I still use ole’ faithful if someone’s around. Saves trying to figure out where I put my bleed pump kit so that I wouldn’t forget where it was. 🤦♂
Marcus needs a motorcyclists style of bleeding kit, albeit with 4 bleed pipes, that allows easier cleaner less jetting squirts of brake fluid over his arches..
Knowing Marcus, probably not... Only after he's had two or three breakages, failures, or serious costs, does he start to learn to do a singular thing to fix & check regularly.
Can you not just order the halfshaft wheels from Ford. Or a good parts supplier. ? We get most of our stuff from Dingbro up here in Scotland 🏴. I wouldn’t touch Euro car parts as the quality is usually shite 😢
Strictly trade only! Hi from up in Aberdeen 😃 ps there’s only so many patern part manufacturers, many parts supplied by Euro Car parts are manufactured by the same firms that other motor factors sell, best to stick to the well known ones obviously, for example Quintin Hazell , AP, Saches, Borg & Beck etc etc Though what I will say is Euro Car Parts ain’t always the cheapest prices 👍
