Best video/disk/media channel on the net! Big heck yes to 4k versions of Terminator 1 & 2! Also please- please do not cut Blasing Saddles, the entire intent of Mel Brooks was to satirize hate and bigotry. Art, film and otherwise was meant to be free expressionism challenging thought.

This is all great news! Most exciting for me is The Terminator on 4K. But a very close second is The Adventures of Superman on Bluray! Wow, that last one is unexpected but *very* welcome! It's great seeing classic TV series get Bluray (or 4K) love. I'm in for the Flash series on Bluray, too. I used to watch that as a kid with my Dad. Thank you for sharing all of this incredibly exciting news, James!

WOW! "The Adventures Of Superman" is finally getting some love. I've been saying for years why is it that the Adam West "Batman" series gets a blu-ray boxset, but nothing for the George Reeves "Superman" series, which actually went longer than "Batman." Well, I guess I can't complain anymore. 😆 That's EXCELLENT news. Now, hopefully, we'll eventually get the Filmation "Superman" cartoon series and a proper remastering of the "Fleischer Superman" animated shorts. But hey, one miracle at a time. Thanks for that wonderful news, James. And by the way, I do love the Adam West "Batman" series.

Im excited for the Adventures of Superman because the old WB DVDs are prone to disc rot. My season 2 set is entirely rotten and not a scratch on any disc, and they simply dont play. This is a common issue among all WB dvds released around that timeframe 2006-2008 ish. So this is good news

Hey James! I used your links and preordered The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 4K steelbook and Drive 4K Steelbook. Guy Ritchie makes some great films so looking foward to checking out his new film. I already preordered the Navy Seals 4K from the Vinegar Syndrome sale. Of course I just picked up a new Delta Force blu-ray about a week or so ago and now they announce a 4K. I will eventually get the Bill and Ted 4Ks just not right now.

Being a huge fan of George Reeves Superman, I am super excited for that boy ray! I am also really excited to see how the Little Shop of Horrors 4k turns out 1 hopefully it turns out great! It is a hilarious movie! And to be getting the Bill And Ted trilogy, one of my favorite trilogies of all time, in 4k is absolutely amazing!

Still new to the 4K stuff. My question is how do I know which 4K version is best? It seems some of these movies are released by different places and it’s hard to know which version is the best. It seems like a lot of people are excited about Dolby Vision. Is that the ones to look for? Sorry for such a beginner question.

Most 4ks have hdr, but if you can get it in dolby vision, it's a nice addition if you have the equipment to play it. But unless you have a side by side comparison, you won't be able to tell. Unless it's a really big difference, in most cases I don't think it is between different labels. To save space, I get collections if I can. But usually criterion, arrow have really good transfers in moat movies. I'm sure other labels have great ones too. But you will enjoy most of the 4k movies. Too much spec lingo to go over. Just enjoy.

But yes I don’t really know if I could tell the difference in different versions of the same film in 4K or not. I just figured if I was going to purchase a movie might as well get the best quality version of it 👍

I'm most looking forard to The Terminator 4K UHD blu ray, although it's ironic that Warner have started their proposed release timeframe from August 29th. Also, The Adventures of Superman being released on blu ray from 4K scans has made me wonder if Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher is finally coming to blu ray. Keep up the great work and I suspect that you will be mentioning Jean-Claude Van Damme in an ice rink in your next upcoming release video.

Adventures of Superman on Blu Ray is great news! I wish they’d have an option for colorized versions of the b&w episodes as an extra so you could watch it both ways. I saw a colorized version of the I Love Lucy episode with George Reeves as Superman and it was amazing I honestly couldn’t tell it wasn’t shot that way. I recently stumbled upon your channel and agree, it is a great for physical media. Like you, this will be my third purchase of most these films beginning with dvd. Your comparison videos are my favorites, I really like 4K versus 4k. The Terminator is probably my most anticipated title and is a far superior film than its’ sequel, yet T2 gets all the attention. Just saved me some money I was looking to replace my adventures of Superman a couple sets I have were victims of the disc rot but now I’m happy to wait and pre order the blu ray when it’s available, already preordered The Flash and I just hope that they follow with some blu’s for Lois and Clark

About Drive, do you know if Sony will use the same 2K master from Studio Canal and Second Sight or they make their own master from the OCN? If so, it will mean that it will be a true native 4K, not just a already existing upscale with tweaks applied.

With Kino Lorber 4K transfers it has become a wait and see. I have Hard Target, The Silence of the Lambs. Hard Target i thought looked great until i saw screen shots from the German release that look way better, and the Silence of the Lambs Criterion Blu Ray that looks better than the 4k from kino. So i am very cautious of anything coming from Kino these days.

Mel Brooks and Burton Gilliam were newly interviewed for Remembering Gene Wilder about Blazing Saddles and that segment would be a great addition to the extras as it had Gene reading bits from his book about it as well. A new interview would be great, too. I don't think we'll get another chance at a real definitive Blazing Saddles disc after this. Michael Jai White did a movie recently called Outlaw Johnny Black that takes inspiration from Blazing Saddles and it be sweet to see people like him reflect on BS's legacy. I wonder if Mel will be approving the transfer and the mix at all. Mel mentioned a cut scene that ends with Black Bart saying "I hate to break it to you, but you're sucking on my elbow." I'd love it if they found it and any other deleted scenes, behind the scenes segments or interviews/promotion for the time it came out.

Thanks once again James 👍Always appreciate your videos How awesome would it be if Terminator is released ON August 29th? That would have to be one of the most anticipated 4k of the the 2020s. Will definitely be getting that Blazing Saddles? HELL Yeh! Bill & Ted 2 - been hanging out for that one - already have 1 & 3...I hadn't watched #3 since I bought it but I don't love it so will stay with what I have...for now, lol I hesitated getting the Second sight version of Drive because It was always too expensive and sadly the new Sony version looks to be even more expensive, but the steelbook DOES look super cool and I do love Sony 4k Transfers, they really are top of the game, so I might have to consider it this time around

Very excited for the upcoming Terminator 4K release and hopeful they re-master Judgement Day in 4K. Dirty Harry & One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest are movies I would love to see released in 4K.

I know they released the first season and stopped due to low sales, I REALLY want WB to make a complete box set of The Mask: Animated Series and put it on Blu-ray. AND I would love a 4K release of The Mask with a brand restoration for both the 4K disc and Blu-ray disc, if they do that... this Mask fan is going to be extremely happy and pleased.

Regarding the terminator release I really hope they redo the gun audio so it’s back to what it used to be, rather than the crappy redub they’ve done for the bluray etc as the .45 long slide sound like a friggin laser pistol, and the shotgun was just🤬😡👎
