Great video Catman. Crazy all the deer you see and “Don’t spook” sitting on the ground. You are stealth man. That first doe seemed to come out of a hole in the ground. Beautiful buck. He must’ve had a scrap with a big boy to earn that limp. The old 30 30 went to work! Congrats.

The only tree stands we had were home built and we used them only for late afternoon sitting. I really enjoy those TN woods and hollers, along with the well done videos. Good job!

Awesome. Public hunter here from west TN . Got a big 6 so far this year and 2 does on the back side of a lake in Lexington TN. Seen a few more good bucks just didn't get a clear shot. Going back after them this week

You did good!! My first buck, a spike in TN 1974, and also one my largest bucks, a great 10 point, killed on an Alabama WMA in Jan 1975 were taken with a 30-30 Marlin. Although not my primary buck buster in use today, our family still uses that gun and we love. When you ejected your spent shell after shooting that buck in the video, that sound was very familiar and brought back many fond memories. I live in west TN. Kanati, AT 08.

The doe you filmed before you turn to the buck, she looked like her lower jaw went up into her upper jaw like when Grammy takes her dentures out... Kinda reminded me of the one you shot a few years ago that aged like 13 years, she just looked old! Great buck, you been driving me nuts watching all these bucks, and not shooting any of them, but that's up to you and I'm just a viewer. Glad to see you still using the Marlin, that's what I grew up on and I love em. 30-30 is a cartridge that people all have in the gun cabinet but never use anymore cuz it was grandpa's gun. It is a great round for deer and black bear.
