I know, I can't believe we're nearly at 2000! Wish me luck! I. Reality these things often don't go as planned...but I'm try, even if it's just to mix it up a bit for more variety xx
Hi Claire, just wanted to say keep focusing on what's important to you and your family, and not what people expect you to buy, eat or spend on food etc. Please dont feel you have to explain why one child doesnt like something. I actually sulute you for wanting to spend as little as possible on food and go on holidays and days out. Love the channel !! 😊 👍 🎉
Hi Ckaire, you are doing the right thing making memories and having fun fun fun with your kids, enjoy every moment as your children are so precious, best wishes to you all x
An idea for the popcorn is to buy Kernals I know Asda and probably Tesco do them and then pop them yourself. That could be cheaper than buying the packets and healthier as you can choose how you flavour them. There are plenty of recipes online for different flavours to try,
Have you tried your children on old fashioned oatmeal? Or an oatmeal bake for breakfast (it looks like cake)? Some flavors my son likes are peanut butter and banana, coconut with chocolate chips, almond butter with blueberries.
I wish my kids would eat oatmeal of porridge, but they had it as babies and then stopped liking it when they go to about 3, so frustrating because it's so good and cheap. I love it 😀
You’ve given me an idea for my daughters birthday. She’s 9 at the end of the month. We’re not having a party as such but thought she could have a couple of friends and making toppings for their pizzas sounds great ❤thank you 😊xxxxx
Really great video, the only thing I didn't like was the breakfast choices for you and your children, as a Mum of 4 and soon to be grandma of 4, dentist's are really coming down on how much sugar they have. They even told me to give them all fruits in one sitting as multiple times of eating sugar will erode the enamel. xXx
Thanks 😊 Unfortunately my children will not eat the 'healthy' cereals like shreddies or weetabix, and they hate porridge. And I don't always have time to cook them breakfasts, so cereal it is a lot of the days. With lily being so fussy and quite restrictive it's hard to feed her. But we all just do our best dont we 😊 (and make sure they brush their teeth well) xxx
I spend in the US $3.39 for toilet bowl cleaner, the yellow think you are holding. Granting that is a brand version but honestly never not scene a store brand of it. Yours is under a dollar!
Please be careful with the popcorn. It's a huge hazard for small kids bc they can choke on the kernels and aspirate it into their lungs bc it's so light. The pediatricians in the US don't recommend it for any under 4.
Don't worry, Lily doesn't like it (what a surprise! 🙈) and Zack wasn't overly keen on the stuff I bought, so I probably won't be buying much going forward! Xx
That’s not expensive I spent £115 this week for 4 people I bought lots of meat my shopping is over £100 every week as we eat as healthy as we can as hubbys diabetic and I have high cholesterol unfortunately it is what it is we all need to eat x
Our priority right now is taking the children away and making memories with them, and we've never taken them abroad before we did Disney, only a few days away in the UK. So it's only this year that we have booked a proper holiday abroad and a couple of trips, but that's where we are putting our priority right now while they're young ☺️x
@@MumLifeAndMore American’s just do not travel so much. Before turning 18, older actually, I flew twice out of state once at 5 then at 14. Other than that no more than 90 minute car ride to go anywhere. Here a trip is the first thing to cut down or postpone when economy changes. Now my own son we travel a lot more. My husband born and raised Hawaii so they made a point to leave the island every now and then. It’s why we go all the way to California instead of Florida.
Claire your shopping is for nothing i cant believe with 3 kids and 2 adults have such a minisule weekly budget . There is 5 of us 3 teenage daughters and 2 adults and r bill is a minimum of 180 pounds per week and thats not including the late night snack takeaways . Its not that we r extravagate i shop store brands and essential ranges at lidl iceland tesco and sainsbury etc. And groceries r not any more expensive in Northern Ireland than tbe mainland. Last night after working on the farm late it cost near 50 quid in mickey d 's and they already had 3 big meals and snacks during the day including a bbq with sausages burgers and chicken breasts maranaded. Yes hubby and girls love their food. You will notice the bill will be more in summer obviously with kids being off and as they get older and pirtion sizes need to be bigger px
How about a £45 budget a week for me, 2 teenagers and an 8 year old 🤦 every week i take all whats left out of cupboards, fridge and freezer and write it all down n only buy what i need 😅 i also have fussy eaters so meal times are stressful and i cook on an average day 3/4 different meals but if the prices keep going up i dont no what to do really i cant hike the food budget until the house bills go down 🤦 if only the kids liked beans on toast haha we culd all live off that right 🤷😂x
