It's just tough to look at. we automatically assume he's in pain from the way it looks. over time he may develop sores from it dragging on the concrete but you both know this already. I couldn't think of two better people or places to take care of him. he'll live out the rest of his days in comfort with a full belly. kinda seems like life hadn't been kind to him until the trapper brought him to yall. ❤️
Yeah, it hurts, just to look at it. But that injury must have been pretty bad and with big, traumatic injurys like that, it is highly possible, that the nerves in that leg have been damaged too. I have a numb spot on my leg from just falling down some stairs and that didn't even involve any broken bones.
@@erlandaislund4594 oooh, you're right. I never thought about nerve damage. he doesn't seem to be in pain but they hide it so well you'd never know. I've had some falls down the stairs that were pretty bad but no long lasting effects. hope the feeling comes back to yours.
@@calliopeshif7581 thank you. Gabby and Chris are just naturals st giving good animal care. now they have the land and space to help sooooo many more!!!
He is so lucky, that you both now take care of him. No more fighting for food, no more streets to cross. My heart always beats for the "specisl needs" animals.
BigMac is spectacular, plus for a reptile almost appears able to show emotions. Like getting upset with the elusive chicken leg meal and sulking. He definitely seems to be quite a calm specimen. He's a real survivor. Still an unpredictable Apex Predator!
I’m curious as to just How the amputation could occur. Can’t anesthetize him… and I’m guessing he would be none too thrilled about someone trying to remove the foot.. Would make an interesting ’Grudge Match’ on pay per view- 😅😮
Actually reptiles can be easily anesthetized they do it all the time in fact snake Discovery has had them have to do a CT scan of their alligator Rex because Rex had torn off a piece of plastic piping to her enclosure and they thought she might have swallowed some of the pieces so I have no idea where you're getting the the saying where reptiles can't be anesthetized
