Being a part of the Adapt journey was one of my favorite chapters being a rollerblader. It made my day to hear you mention the Harmanus blades, that still have a place in my life as my daughter loves rollerblading (it’s in her DNA). Olga and Pieter, thanks for everything you have done for the blading community including me! 🧡
Thanks for being part of our journey Ben, the Harmanus One skate will always have a special place in our hearts! Awesome to hear your daughter is carrying on the legacy :)
I feel confused. The only Skates that fit me 😔 aren't going to be made anymore as I understand it. Is there going to be something to replace the Brutales?
Hey everyone, just trying to recap this all in a slimmed down way. So Adapt has made the decision to discontinue the Handmade Collection. This means the Nubuck skinned GTO and Brutale models will be coming to an end on January 21st, 2024. You can order those today and still create custom models all way up to the January 21st deadline. After that date, the Handmade Collection skates will no longer be available. The reason for the announcement this way is there are many folks out there passionate about the Handmade collection and always asked to be notified if they were ever ended. We want to give them all a chance to get their hands on the Final Edition of these models before they go away. For 2024 and beyond, we will continue to produce the Masterpiece Collection and all the Adapt and Symetrics products we have in the past, including our Symetrics Frames, UFS frames, Quattro Frames, wheels, parts, bearings, and accessories. The only change is the discontinuation of the Nubuck skates. We've got even more announcements to come and are looking forwards to what a broader and more expansive 2024 has in store. This is just the beginning. - Travis @ Adapt
okay help me understand clearly they have 3 collection tabs on the website..one handmade, one masterpiece, one custom are they saying no more custom AND no more handmade after jan 21st? or no more handmade & still custom boots? it sounds like just going forth with the focus on the masterpiece collection. correct me if i am wrong. (im an idiot) thank you
The GTOs are fantastic, I'm glad I'll be able to skate them forver! As much as it's a loss for the community, I very much respect companies sticking to their vision instead of chasing scale and profit.
The GTO and GTB are two of my favorite boots to roll in among the rollerblades I own. I'll have to make sure I take even better care of them when I decide to roll in them. Looking forward to seeing your future projects.
I'll be snagging a pair. Fit issues on every piece of chinese garbage ever purchased. Adapt = zero fit issues for extra wide feet. Maybe by the time they wear out I'll be able to afford the higher end models....
Well, as the unfortunate GTO owner I saw this coming sooner or later, not sure if COVID and turbulent times have anything to do with it. It is all in the “customized handmade boot” - shake it or bake it is fkng foot torture! And with non-existing customer support and non-return policy for a pair of skates that cost almost 1000-euro, makes things really frustrating for enthusiastic skaters like me, who want to invest in unique customized skates and end up with a pair of disappointment. I have to be honest though, Adapt Brand makes very good frames, wheels and bearings. I took the frames with wheels off from GTO boots and put them on Igor’s boots and, actually made a pretty good set up. I believe that Adapt Brand have a good chance of collaborating with brands like FR Skates, and supply them with custom made frames, bearings, wheels and other accessories. Although I was really disappointed in their product, I wish them best of luck and look forward to see some improvements from them in the future!
@@waltonsimons5242 It seems that I received the proper size and I was lucky with that, cause I've heard that some people had mistakes with picking the right sizes for them, and since these are your custom handmade skates and were made especially for you, you are stock with them out of the box. I've baked them and molded them, kinda made some improvements, but boots are still mediaeval torture. So I decided to stop abusing my feet and I took the frames off from GTOs boots and put them on Igor's boots. Maybe someone from comments here who thinks that GTO boots are fantastic, would like to have an extra pair of this fantastic boots and buy my pair!??😀😀ha ha
Thanks for making wonderful skate and equipment. I am Lucky to have a pair of GTS and Brutales….. looking forward to buying some Carbon speed skates soon…. Maybe??? 😊
I haven’t watched the whole video yet but I really like that white skate on the right how big are those wheels. I started on triskates 2 years ago but I want a skate I can do more tricks but still be fast
Man, this makes me sad because at one point owning a pair of your skates was a dream to me and finally I was able to buy a pair wanted to get another pair but I don’t think I will be able to before your deadline. However, I value your hard work dedication and relentless pursuit of perfection, I am a fan. I will always be a fan and looking forward to your journey deep down inside I hope one of these days you do bring some of these back. Congrats guys and best of luck. Thank you for all the great skates you have provided us with.
Posiadam rolki GTO od 3lat i jestem bardzo zadowolony z całeggo procesu od zamówienia i personalizacji produktu . Jestem przekonany ,że niebawem kupię nowy wasz produkt. Doceniam zaangazowanie i profesjonalizm. "ars longa, vita brevis"
No that is incorrect, we are continuing with our Masterpieces collection which are also handmade skates, but we are quitting the production of what is known as our Handmade Collection, so the skinned nubuck skates :)
Yes we will. The Superveloce, Superleggera, Pista and some new models are all part of the Masterpieces collection and will continue in 2024 and onwards
I’m sorry are you saying you no longer be making aggressive skate or just that model …. Cause y’all are extremely talented and worth the money I paid for my skates but if y’all can’t make aggressive skates then I’ll just haft to put my boots up and go back to Remz…..I don’t wanna ruin my custom art piece.
We are no longer going to produce the Brutale model, but we are continuing with the Superveloce model, which is an aggressive skate. And thank you for the kind words, great to hear you are enjoying your skates :)
Your title scared me that you were going to go the other direction and start mass producing skates in some factory environment. Keep pushing for new things, that’s what made Adapt cool in the first place! I love your passion 👍
