I was once a technician in radio broadcasting and worked many name band remotes in the ‘40s and ‘50s. I had tape recordings made after our station acquired a Magnecorder, but I used the same tape over and over as the cost was $5 at a time I was making $1.25 an hour. So what I ended up with was the last broadcast I did; Ralph Flanagan in December 1950. I now wish I was not so tight with money. 🎉

So beautiful. My dear daddy was a big band musician, he played lead Alto sax with Clyde McCoy and sat in with other greats such as Les Brown and his band of reknowned. I was raised with awesome music like this. I am 62 but love the 1940's music, styles, and movies. They still sound (and look) good today.

Great stuff. Imagine writing oboe, bassoon and French horn parts for a swing band. Not to mention complete string arrangements.
