Thanks David, yes would have loved to be there in it's day. There is a lot of info around Big Bell that gives you a real picture of the town. If you go to Que stay at Nallan Station 10 minutes north of Que it is a great place to stay and explore from. When you go to Que visit Big Bell, Walga Rocks to see the Aboriginal art, Nallan Caves, Nallan Lake, In town at the shire office they have a display free to look at with several hundred historic photos which is amazing and just a look around town has many historical places. Thanks again.

Thanks for commenting. You dad would have had some great memories from there. when you look at old photos from there you wish you could go back in time and have a look. If ever you go through Cue on a week day the shire office has a display of 100s of photos from there and around the area which is good to look at.

@@zoezoe610 I have asked my sisters to sit with him and show him the videos. he's 97 and remembers most stuff clearly. I just spoke with him, and he says that his Aunt died unexpectedly "Aunt is buried in either Davyhurst or Menzies", They couldn't find her grave site to put a marker on it as the authorities failed to record the location. They'd been roo, camel hunting and prospecting up near Mekathara, that and Dad was visiting his lady friend that owned the bar. She passed several days prior, while they were away. His uncle was wounded and survived during the charge by the Light Horse at Beersheba in ww1, and is buried at Mt Magnet .. bitten by a snake.

Looks like some kind of ventilation system. Old industrial sites I worked on had something similar. I just went by the drum shaped fan you see there, very common back then. Thanks though maybe will will find out for sure. Have a great day....
