Coach is a throw back from a time long ago, and will go into the HOF and represent the the Steelers the way it should be . A leader, tough and a champion.
Could be the first 2hr long RU-vid video I ever watched all the way to the end...thanks guys! Now I know why every NFL player wants to play for Coach T.
You can tell how smart tomlin is, how sharp his memory is and how he is able to vividly describe something for you w an array of words and phrases 😂 also you can tell a straight up real ass dude a genuinely good dude, he forsure is that.
The vast amount of knowledge coach T has is astounding. I come from old school of watching coach Noll, Green, Lambert, Bell, Webster, Shell, and so on and it gives me great pride in the safety of the Steelers legacy being carried forward and continues to be forged by coach T.
If only time could stop. Great Interviews like this are timeless. Love coach T and Ben. As a Pittsburgh native, now living in LA, I loved hearing this interview. You did a great job of asking coach questions that’s we normally wouldn’t hear and this made every word glue like and sticky. Outstanding job! That food looked tasty too!
This is awesome getting to see a different side of coach T. I’ve been here since Bill came and went, love watching coach T imprint his legacy on both Pittsburgh and the NFL
Thank you so much Coach Tomlin for coming in this show and sharing so many great insights and stories. Beat episode ever. Thank you Ben for having a show where you bare everything and aren’t constantly just trying to look cool.
What a GREAT podcast. #7 Big Ben, like his favorite QB John Elway, was one those great rare QBs who truly got it & maximized our chances to win every game from day 1 until he retired. Coach T is future Hall of Fame & also has a great sense of humor. Love both but appreciate both even more now. Thank you!
What an amazing, fun experience. Absolutely 💯 love you guys!! Coach T put the show over the top. There are so many funny stories as well as heart felt emotions in this episode.
I love seeing Coach T in this sort of atmosphere. I can tell why the players love him. Hes a legit dude lol. Im used te seeing him being short with the press.
Not a Steelers’ fan. Have always respected Tomlin and the Steelers from afar. But after listening to this, what I admire the most about Coach Tomlin is it seems as if he puts a lot of thought into his stances on certain topics. While I may not agree with him on everything, I have a lot of respect for someone who earnestly seeks good information to figure out where they stand. A lot of people form knee jerk opinions and fanatically defend them, regardless of how much context they are missing. I can also tell that Tomlin is a warrior, can see it in his eyes and demeanor. Great episode!
As a lifelong Virginian, we are proud to call Coach one of ours. Steelers have always been my AFC team - except when they play Washington. Much love from Shenandoah
Really great show/episode and explanations from Coach T .. appreciate it all .. and happy ( unrelated) .. Pittsburgh D is really shaping up as of 03/15 like wow... super excited!! ty Mike and management for filling the holes in (maybe) an amazing way ... excited for next year!! ty
This was definitely great content. Thank you for such a great time in the NFL. I grew up a steeler fan. Even though I'm from Houston and Big Ben is my favorite quarterback of all time. Mike Tomlin is such a class act. This guy is one of the greatest football coaches ever
Listening to Coach Tomlin speak about the difference between his 2008 defense and his 2010 defense. He said the 2010 defense helped put the current player/safety initiative. That got me thinking that the Steel Curtain defense of the 70's also forced the league to change the rules
Fantastic video gents! Much love for what you guys do . Thanks for sharing your stories and your faith! God, family ,beer and football -what an awesome combo
i love it...see mike tomlin how he is out of the field....great i enjoy it with your guys..3 beer round...i will love it ..TROY will be there...thanks BIG BEN and Spence. .....BIG BEN WE MISS YOU ON THE FIELD....STEELERS HERE WE GO...
I'm 55 and a huge football fan in general. I only wish Hawaii had a pro team too. Currently am a Dolphins fan but am a lifelong Steelers fan. Have been as a kid since their steel curtain days. This dynasty defines football greatness with 2 HOF coaches and we all know Coach T will make it 3 in a row once that time comes; which I'm hoping won't be anytime soon. You all need to watch Coach's interview on Ryan Clark's Pivot podcast as well with Fred and Channing. It's amazing just like this one. Love this casual and fun setting. Ben and Spence are great at this and it's so refreshing. Evan is super cool too and the beers and food look so good and yummy! Coach Mike is as real as can be. Talk about a Masterclass in leadership, positivity, faith, friendship, loyalty and to keep moving forward. You guys should win awards just for this podcast alone. No wonder he's a player's Coach. A Man's Man. He'll support them not just on the field, but off the field as well. Even after his players retire or are no longer playing for him, he's just a text or phone call away. It speaks volumes for him to even take time to come on Ryan's and Ben's podcasts to not only reflect on football, their friendships but to also support their podcasts as both podcasts have hit a large amount of views and just reading the comments on both solidifies why I never stopped believing in Coach T; others who always said he needs to retire or get fired are now realizing how blessed the Steelers are to not only have him as a Coach, but also for his leadership, his heart of gold and his brilliant insights on life. For me, a Coach shouldn't only be about X's and O's. A Coach should also be a support system for them. It's beautiful watching his genuine smile and eyes light up whenever he speaks about a player. He always sees the positive in them; despite their downfalls. It's so heartwarming to see his interactions with his players. There's a RU-vid short with him and Kenny P after a tough loss and Coach told him... Head high. There'll be greater days. Awesome! I love his charitable work, his mentorship with our youth, how he fights against child trafficking, supporting single parent youth who've had no father figures. I could go on and on. His wife and family are amazing as well. I've always admired Coach Tomlin and his elevated knowledge of football, how passionate he is about football and how much each player means to him in their own individual ways (past and present). I have 2 amazing sons. One's 29 and my baby is 11. I proudly raised them as a single mom. Trust me, it wasn't easy but the joys outweigh the hardships. They are my life and saving grace. What I would do to just have both of them spend even an hour with Coach T and his wisdom, kindness and outlook on life... that would make this Momma the happiest woman alive! Can you make this happen? Please? 😊🙏💗 Keep doing great things Big Ben and Spence. You guys are the REAL DEALIO! Looking forward to more enlightening, fun, yummy and powerful interviews and shows! A new sub for life!!! ❤❤🙏🙏
Nothing Speaks Volumes of a Man's Character and the Love He has for his "GUYS" like the hold back of tears for Ryan. Mike Held that back but it was like Yesterday for Him. What an Outstanding Coach and Priceless Human Being. I can see why Kiya Fell in Love with Him. Awesome Content Guys keep up the Good Work. Jersey Love All Day!!! 💙💪 Here We Go Steelers 💪💙
Man I love this show. My favorite qb of all time outside of Brady and Coach T chillin instead of yelling. Or staring and answering stupid questions lol.
I'm behind but Ben I been a steelers fan since 1997 and you been a big part of my sports life love what your doing and Spence is great as a co Podcaster it's been great to relive some of the old times man I'm 33 now 😅 love it all
Listening to Coach Tomlin and BiGBen talk about James Harrison Super Bowl pick6 from end zone is awesome, everything happened so fast and Steelers fan just thought they saved 3 points but Steelers offense is going have chance score before halftime but when he scored on pick 6 that was one of the greatest moments in Super Bowl history and so glad I was able witness that especially as Steelers fan.
Epic podcast here with Mike T! Great to hear him go off the cuff and less coach mode. you can tell the man has a wealth of knowledge and is continuing to grow with the sport he loves. Would love to see a Bill Cowher episode in the future
Love you big band keep putting those Podcast out while you're watching steeler games this year love to watch you root for the steelerso glad you stayed in the Burg
Man this was a great show…had never seen Footbahlin before. Big Ben seems like a really good guy…definitely not the image I had of him. Tomlin is the man of course.
Who wasn't doing 2 a days? Just turned 26 and an hour north of you guys we were doing 2 a days in highschool training camp. Amazing episode from a couple hall of famers and a stud of a man. Thanks guys!
Ben and Spence, thank you ! Glad i subscribed because guests like coach T letting their personalities exude the personal person they truly are in private as well as in their profession, is so cool and makes them real and kinda a good friend as weird as it may sound?
What a great episode! I can't express how much I love this...I feel like I'm hanging out with some buddies! Keep it up!!! Great beers coming from Crystal Lake, Illinois!
Not a Steelers fan at all ( Eagles fan) but I've probably watched just as many Steelers games as I have Eagles cause I live in Philly and Steelers games are always on and I gotta say I do respect Tomlin a lot and I like Big Ben he's pretty funny on this podcast. Tomlin is a great coach fr though. Im happy to see him on this podcast.
This was peak in every sense. Just great. I wish I had better words to describe how much I loved this, but I’ll leave that to the other commenters to provide better commentary.
Ben's my favorite Finbilly. He knows what that means. Their whole football stadium is named after him. He gave a lot back to his home town Edit: shout out to Maumee Bay Brewery. Try that Paco's beer, bro
I know what Tomlin meant and I could feel it when he said I'll get that tap saying he is wiggling his toes. What a trooper for being able to walk again! But I remember being little not fully understanding the severity of my grandmother situation when she had her stroke. The first few times waking from her room I remember thinking I'll hear her call us or start laughing. When reality hit and I knew it wouldn't get better that devastation was overwhelming especially at such a young age. Tomlin, the group who helped Ryan, and the fact he over came it I'm happy and proud!
