Can you share your map? And for your camping spots, do you have to camp at designated areas or can you just pick a spot anywhere on your route?

The trails on the maps between camps sites are what we followed. Our first night camp spot was Bm1 and our second and favorite was LW3. That was on a hill and near the river.

Hey Derek He actually traded the 150. He ended up getting a 4runner. He said it was a better experiance on the trails.

Thank you and congratulations! You are going to love the experiance. I would suggest taking some time to think about your future adventures. The type of trails and environment you are planning to one day take. Lift and sliders are always one of the first things to consider over all. But type of tires are going to be based on if it will be your daily driver or not. The best thing about it all. Is that there is not “one” way of doing it. It’s all fun and strictly based on your needs and comfort. I’ll be making more videos soon talking about each upgrade I have used, what works and doesn’t work for me. Hope it helps. Looks like you guys had a great time! Getting ready to take the family overland camping for the first time during spring break. Im debating between Big Bend and Palo Duro Canyon in Amarillo. Any recommendations?

You are going to have a blast!! Big bend for sure! Mainly cause they have simple routes but great views. Keep us posted on your adventures and be safe out there.

@@pappachuco you won’t regret it. My buddy Jeremy was the route leader for this trip. I was in charge of comms and food prep. Lol if you do different camps sites each day. You get the chance to really explore the area.

The gas station isn't far at all from the main registration area. Our first stop was a panthers junction, there was a gas station right at that entrance. Gas most likely would have lasted us on the trails. WE didn't risk it and gassed up every time we were close to the gas stations. We all also carried an emergency 5 gallon tank incase. Better safe than sorry. You are going to love your trip. Please share your experience

Thank you Aaron. We booked it before hand and planned the trail around the campsites. It was hella fun and that campsite was our favorite but only stayed for one night.

I do wish we could set up anywhere, that would be awesome. But unfortunately you would have to reserve your spot. They are spread out and you have plenty of options, but would need to reserve it. You can also do it online.

Any bad scratches on the trucks? I heard some people say they got some pinstriping on the Black Gap trail. What month were you there? Anyway, cool video. Enjoyed it.

Hey! Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it. I don’t have noticeable scratches unless you look really closely then you will see a bunch of small ones but interestingly, they were not from black gap. Black Gap was a lot of fun and beautiful scenery, but wasn’t as challenging as we thought it would be. This was our very first “big trail” and it felt right up our ally. To get there however, there was a few spot on the trail that hugged some brush pretty significantly. My buddy with the Ford felt that the most.

Let me know how your trip went my guy. We had a blast out there. As much as I like the off road dirt look. I cleaned it pretty quick. Mainly cause there was a crazy amount of dust I drove through. Had to clean the air condition filter to. It was buzzing lol

How did you mount the waterport on the side of roof rack?

I am still working on the best way to secure it. But what I did here was with the prinsu rack’s side slots that allows me to bolt on the bottom portion of the shower bracket. It held up just fine However, I found a new method that will secure both bottom and top that I am going to test out and share soon.
