In this episode we show you how we used big boulders to create landscape, boulder walls, fire pit, and garden ideas at our farmhouse. Every boulder you see came out of our fields.
Fine, I cried watching this. A bit unexpected but I’m not ashamed. It was joyful watching your family living the dream and I pray God continues to bless you and your family.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, any suggestions on moving a 50 ton boulder up a steep gravel road, out onto a highway and eventually through a narrow gate? I’m thinking 4 Chinooks.
Thanks for the comment and blessing! There is something special about working together as a family. As far as the Boulder that sounds intense. My only thought would be make sure you have big enough equipment from the start. It would be devastating to get stuck halfway. Those paper weights don’t like to budge sometimes.
It is so good to see families working together - not always showing families just playing together. I grew up being right beside my mom and dad doing whatever was needed. Weeding, planting, hauling hay, greasing equipment - sweating! There is definitely a difference in the sweat from a day working compared to a day playing. Thank you for the example you are setting not only to your children but others also.
Wow, it’s comments and encouragement like this that remind me why we do what we do. Katie and I didn’t want to produce or create content, we simply wanted to capture it. This is a day in the life around here. There’s a joy in the journey and a purpose in the process. Thanks for taking the time to share what you did. Made my day today.
Just happened upon this. Will be starting a sorta similar boulder project with my 38 year old daughter in a few weeks. We started doing these things at about the same age as your girls. Your video was a nice reminder of what a blessed life I've had. Thanks.
What a great reminder for me tonight to cherish these moments too while they are young. I told my wife my greatest motivator for capturing these videos is to look back when we are older. Thanks for the kind comment tonight Jim!
