Big Bridge Snook Testing Out My Custom Rod

I hooked two big Snook in about three hours while bridge fishing with my new custom made rod. The one I landed hit a Spooltek and the other giant I hooked up with thumped a green jig. This was an awesome three hours of fishing from one of my favorite bridges.

Those storm paddle tails are great. I will black sharpie the bellys of a few chartreuse and white baits if the snook are holding bottom. Just to get that strong silhouette.

@RadReelingFishing
@RadReelingFishing 4 года назад
That's an interesting question for sure. As long as the water is moving I feel confident I might get a hit when I'm Snook fishing. One thing I have noticed with three Snook I've caught over 40" at night near bridges is that they hit when the tide was just starting or just about to end. Those big Snook were all caught on live bait, either pinfish or shrimp. Every location is different when it comes the movement of the tide depending upon the landscape and structure. When I jig fish I like to have fast moving current.
@aschaedy
@aschaedy 4 года назад
That’s a great answer. I’m trying to pay more attention to patterns in my fishing, especially snook. It’s crazy how you had all those nights with no bites, and then they turned on that night. I’m guessing you got them before this front or after the new moon. Thanks again!

I've seen the very best of the best fishermen drop Snook from four feet in the air on to concrete and many others accidentally mishandle fish. I didn't mishandle that Snook in any way.
