Stole water from the people of Punjab and drained Punjab of it's precious natural resource.Due to this Punjab had to use more of it's groundwater for irrigation. If India had not stolen this water more canals would have been made in Punjab for their own irrigation. I don't know why and how these Hindi belt states claim water of Punjab. What has happened (the robbing of Punjab's water by the Indian government and giving to others) is atrocious. For these Hindis claiming Punjab's water and saying oh this water does not belong to Punjab and other things like what if himachal stops the flow of water to Punjab know this. Water belongs to that land where it flows naturally. You can not stop a river that flows from mexico to the US or the Rhine from flowing into other countries where it flows naturally and has flowed forever. A war will start if someone does that. The loot of Punjab's waters by people who it does not belong to is unacceptable. If the people of Punjab do not rise up to this injustice then I believe our zameer and anakh is dead and we have lost the right to call ourselves Punjabis and does not matter whether Sikh Punjabi or Hindu Punjabi . India was never a country as it is now throughout history. It was only a few times like once under ashoka or mughals and that too not the whole land . There are different countries in the land of India just like Europe is a land with many countries. So, will you not do a report on this
Its a shame that from 1947 to 1998, no congress government thought about making these reserves. These reserves are not an overnight thing, this needs planning and execution. By promoting the "Idea of India" they are actually harming "India"
In the 40s they said if you do not read the newspaper you are illiterate. Last 30 years under UPA if you read the newspaper you are ill-informed. SG is part of that dis information.
Keeping oil prices high is going to hurt the OPEC countries in the long run, as it would accelerate the shift to renewables. Imagine the money India can save switching 1/2 of our energy source to renewables.
@@dharmani_youtube War machines aside, Everything else can easily be switched to electric. The main issue right now is electricity storage. There are many solutions who have already shown proof of concept. Only thing required is the technology improvements to scale them. U can watch a YT channnel called "Undecided with Matt Ferrell". He explores the renewable tech space
OPEC knows that Renewables are coming anyway. So they want to extract the maximum profit from their reserves before renewables make a significant dent to demand.
Well then I hope you take a look at what happened last year in Texas, USA with wind turbines. Alternate energy can prove deadly if you don't look and prepare for all the angles.
do u want one more head ache to the world ? for now they are only playing with economics, do not expect them to play with army also, if they start then problems multiply not go down..

According to Goldman Sachs, the added supply to the market is pretty small in the grand scheme of things. The co-cordinated release may add just 70 million to 80 million barrels of crude supply, which is smaller than the more-than-100 million barrels the market has been pricing in.
@Sharat Sundar trump sanctioned Iran and we followed like idiots...we were getting cheap oil but we followed "the" super power. America wanted saudis the "then" terrorist hub to be the top dog in oil cartel. Wtf we are just minions
@Sharat Sundar can you say boycotting china is like cutting Oxygen supply too? We don't have any policy we just move according to US interest..thats negative.
to be precise : India imports 82% of its oil needs and aims to bring that down to 67% by 2022 by replacing it with local exploration, renewable energy and indigenous ethanol fuel.
USA has the option of producing shell oil if crude oil prices rise too much. So there is some natural break to the oil prices in the medium to long term. However, a coordinated release of strategic oil reserves by so many buyer countries is a new step and a message to OPEC+.
There is litigation in court to stop broading of roads in north east by some NGO on grounds it impacts nature. But we need that to get our troops the supplies the need.
@@ngolddays1296 & Indian will not even start a social media protest to stop this NGO. Forget speaking publicly. Indians only react when some Politician manipulates them via protests & hungama organized thru Union leaders & such. Like student Unions in CAA & Farmer Union in Farm Bills
That was a nice one ;) Please do a cut-the-clutter on the Chennai's (also Mumbai's and other major cities') recurring flood situations. Even after spending crores of rupees the there is no proper drainage which leads to these situations. For Chennai, the court has aptly put it as : Half of the year people are struggling for water, and the during other half people are overwhelmed by it.
Sir, I would like to add some more facts on the above issue. (1) Generally in western countries especially in US, the abandoned mines , where the yield is exhausted are used for storing the crude oil underground. However in India the practice is constructing underground tanks for storing the crude. (2) The invention of extracting the shell gas by the US made it's country self sustained. In this method, high pressure water is injected in to the rocks and thus the hidden oil in the rocks pores comes out which is extracted and refined. That's why , the US which depended earlier upon the Gulf and Venuzulan Oil is now self resilient and now exporting the oil to our Country also. India should also adopt such latest technologies for extracting shell gas wherever it is possible thus reducing import oil bill to certain extent.
For a while, countries (whether developing or developed) have been willfully ignorant of the impermanence of fossil fuels, same as how they've deemed climate crisis separate from economic upheavals. A push towards making renewable sources of energy has to be realized sooner than later and it has to be in a way that is economical for the masses.
Instead of releasing oil from strategic oil field why not US just uplift sanctions from IRAN , it will serve the purpose of cooling down oil prices as well as a lesson for OPEC
then gulf nations will also intermix geopolitics with geoeconomics...can cut supply to the USA and may drift more towards china-russia to teach lesson to usa
Better, get the Trump-proposed pipelines back into play. No energy problem in America and we could also sell reasonable trade with others. The Globalists didn't like that idea and ousted him.
Kudos to SG sir for listening in to such valuable comments from viewers and to come up with such a detailed explanation on this. This is brilliant to watch.
What about Indian strategic reserves kept in US? We purchased a lot of oil and have stored in US when the oil prices were down as we don't have adequate storing facility in India.
I wasn't aware of this. We purchased a lot but i assumed that also resides in India. 9days of oil reserve is not enough to survive a war in any way specially if its with country with biggest Navy in the world.
@@ngolddays1296 you perhaps didn't follow the video, because it is clearly stated that all refineries in India has to maintain minimum stock of oil for 65 days. So we have a strategic reserve of 75 days. This does not included reserves kept in US.
Excellent analysis. Best solution is what OPEC+ countries import should be linked with oil prices. If they increase crude prices equal other import items go up.
The real reason for the raising prices is the US Printer of $ . Too much money chasing the same quantity of oil . 36 % of all the Dollars in circulation have been printed the last 20 months . The prices cannot stay the same . It is impossible .
Exactly. The people moving puppet Biden are doing everything possible to destroy America. They have a lockhold on most of the media and federal government. Thank God Trump put in a lot of good judges just before the coup happened or we'd be even worse off, but the damage is still being done because the crudes are still in positions of power. Its like having the fox disguised as the guard dog watching over your chickens!
Globalists in control of much of our governments. They do not love America and thus all the highly destructive 'laws' and ignoring of sane laws like immigration.
The presentation is strewn with numbers which lead to a dead end. No mention of any one specific action which will turn, even a little bit, the screw on OPEC and OPEC +. The only one which will work, and that too in the long term, is to cut consumption !!
we should keep oil prices high as it disproportionately affects the rich more. To counter that we should reduce the income tax for lower slabs by at least 5% and move the upper slab to around 20 lakh
What happened SG Sir your forecast of terrible Power blackout in India due to Coal shortage not adequately researched ? For your kind infn, my comment based on available facts was that nothing of that sort is going to happen under Modi administration and that that item only serve as fear mongering which proved to be right.
THANK YOU SHEKHARJI...!!! It was interesting to listen to your' cut the cluster ' and the other informative and teaching lessons through various discussions...!!! Having said that, I am quitting the news all together , because of some criminal media Abuses...!!! Thanks again to you... and your team especially Ms.Jyothi Malhotra , Dr.Sandhya Ramesh and the rest...!!!
SG sir, Europe is seeing rise in covid cases, Austria imposed lockdowns, anti lockdown protests happening elsewhere, please consider this topic for upcoming CTC episodes.
Excellent analysis as usual SG, just a thought, wouldn't it be good to have consistent units throughout? Use of millions in one place and then lakhs in another might become a source of confusion. Cheers!
What you mean by stuck? You can sell if you want? You bought share while thinking that company has potential, how could you change your view in just few days? I don't see any major change in Paytm as a company in last few weeks.
See the writing on the wall. Not graffiti!!! Not panic. Cycling, walking, EVs, Solar, Wind etc.. may require more attention. Tailpiece: Camels and elephants are used in allegories. Those who may still wonder, SG means, 5million barrels is like a drop in the ocean.
One reason for the increase in Petrol prices in India not highlighted by print is that we under American pressure have stopped buying oil from Iran. Iranian oil was sold to us at a discount to International prices and paid for in Indian Rupees. We have started buying from America at International prices and paying more for its transportation.
Technically its not pressure, they imposed sanction on iran hence not just India no one could buy crude oil from Iran. Yes Iran crude oil comes cheap for India.
Great presentation. Well researched. I just knew that there were strategic oil reserves held by India. All the rest is news to me. Many thanks. “Oonth ke muh me jeera”. It’s equivalent in Kannada is quite forceful: “ Ravanasurana hottege aarukaasu majjige” - “Two cents worth butter milk for Ravana’s consumption “!
I was thinking why am I getting bored of listening to Shekar Gupta. Then, I realized I am listening in normal playback -- only way to not get bored is to listen in 2x playback.
Sir ji Thanks for this CTC on this weird phenomenon and tactics. Also no issues with Hindi metaphors. Increases our knowledge of various metaphors and vocabulary of the national connecting/link language.
The blame of inflation on oil prices is misplaced, the real problem is the low-interest rates globally, Dow Jones is at an all-time high and luxury product companies such as LVMH have had their best year ever in the pandemic. This is an asset bubble that can only be rectified with Federal bank increasing interest rates
Sir I would like to give you 2 more reasons why you should shoot all "Cut the Clutter" episodes in the setting used in this episode:- 1) It would add to your contribution towards a better tomorrow, since when you shoot in the open, and as it is 'hoodie' season in North India, you won't use all those lights which you used to use while shooting indoors. The only constraint would be, to shoot all the episodes during daytime. 😂 2) Health Benefits 😂 - You would stand and shoot, which is ofcourse better for your health than sitting and shooting. Great episode Sir, detailed content with simple and easily comprehensible explanation.
Thank you Shekhar sir!! As always that was excellent reporting, very informative. Sir I have one request for a CTC topic - the future of India-Iran relations, is it still frosty or after Taliban takeover India have more maneuvering room with US to mend ties with Iran. Also how does Iran views its relations with India vis-a-vis Pakistan and China or does proximity with Israel and Saudis with India is a deterrent for them to improve ties.
I don't know how much these buyers can challenge sellers. We've only hurt ourselves by dipping into our thin reserves. Maybe it was a ruse of US+OPEC to get us rid of our reserves so they can sell us more at higher prices. Recall how Saudis recently suggested us to tap our reserves too.
This is KARMA with appropriate and deserved vengeance. US should have thought of this result 20-30 years ago, today they are dreaming of war (with Indian help) as a solution, yet EV isn't a priority. Russia will squeeze life out of US and EU, until hegemony ends.
Hi Shekhar Ji, you might want to discuss our renewable energy efforts at some point as an extension to this. Example - Green Hydrogen project of NTPC in Ladakh. Or How we are still lagging in EVs. And even if we do, we simply outsource the pollution to our coal plants given our electricity mix.
When Modi asked MBS to reduce crude prices for India; he was told by MBS to release some crude from India's strategic reserves ....also India is releasing only 5 Ml. barrels which is about only one days consumption so the effect on prices is questionable
It was in news that $70 is breakeven point. OPEC countries suffered heavy losses when oil was low due to pandemic and dropped to approx $-40. No country comes to support n rather bought huge quantities to store..... Now it's OPEC time. In big people games, common people suffers.... It's their time to recover losses. It's normal for any business.
70 dollars is brake even is a for American shale, not for traditional crude oil and gas. Even 30 $ a barrel will fetch some profits to traditional onshore oil drilling nations...
20:30 - 21:00: Wow! SG knows Padur in South Chennai 😀 Incidentally, one of Dr. Shiv Nadar's marquee engineering colleges sits in Padur. Cricketer Ashwin is an alumnus of this institution as well...
