Started hunting a little late in life (32 now) I got lucky on my first year with a 3 point with the help of a friend. My dream hunt is going to be the day that I take down a bull elk with my bow.

Brain I have followed both your podcasts and videos for quite sometime and enjoy the perspective you bring to hunting ethically and the deep down desire that stems from a true hunters sole. I feel bad you didn’t get it done with your bow but it wasn’t from lack of effort, niece Bull. Thanks for sharing!

I think I’ll get a moose with a bow someday... before I die. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’m very happy my decision to use the rifle. It’s personal-I only had 4 solid hunt days and I almost killed with the bow on two days. It was a short window.

Really enjoyed this Gritty film. I’ve got a huge amount of respect for all of the guides that spend a good part of their year in the wilds of BC, Yukon, NWT, and Alaska. Seeing Tanis and Doran seem to truly enjoy and understand the lands they guide on and are refreshing to watch and makes me want to just go explore and spend time with them even if I didn’t get to pull a trigger or loose and arrow.

Thanks for making such a well done and intriguing video. I enjoy seeing all the components of a hunt, from the camp camaraderie, to the journey, to the kill, and even the work after the kill. I am planning an Alaskan DIY moose hunt for the fall of 2022. I am going with my hunting partner when we both turn 40. Told the wife I am calling it my mid life crisis hunt : ) It'll be my first time hunting moose, and videos like this one get me even more pumped! Thanks again for sharing your hunts with us. Chasing after moose with a bow in the snow is pretty epic and obviously difficult, but you love the challenge. Even though you didn't get to put an arrow in one, you got some good stalks in, just one thing here or there didn't go your way. Nothing wrong with a Pope and Gun bull on the last day. I agree that character (both for ones' own self and in this instance the quarry you took) is more interesting and important than just sheer size. All moose are big to me too. I like that each paddle was different and the kicker on one of the fronts was wicked cool. A big time congrats to you and the crew that helped you along. You like hunting with tall guys with long hair and beards from Lampers to your delightful guide on this hunt. lol ... Pretty funny and cool crew. I am bummed for Adam on his moose being claimed and buried by the big brown monster, at least he got some of the backstraps and the head, even though being safe and getting more meat would have been more important than antlers. The cinematography was excellent, I always enjoy the factoids that you all drop for us. The narration gives me goosebumps and is very inspirational. I love being in God's Country away from the hustle and bustle of work and what some call life. Life is connecting with others, helping others and just basking in the beauty and glory that the Lord has provided with so much variety of landscapes and animals to watch and enjoy. Thanks for sharing and God Bless. O:) Definitely worth the wait.

Great hunt Brian,I followed the hunt as it unfolded in 2018 but this finished it nicely! As a resident of British Columbia I understand but take for granted the space we have. Grizzly bears can really make you feel small and put you in your place, add a stone sheep hunt to your bucket list, you wont regret it. Its the ultimate cleans from life as we know it in civilization!

Awesome hunt, that is a heck of a lot of meat! I was fortunate enough to harvest my first bull moose this last season with my bow. Just so happens it was my first big game animal taken with archery after six very fun years of trying. I cashed in 18 points in my home state of Wyoming and spent 10 incredible days with my grandfather and a good friend. My grandfather got a bull moose as well and my hunting buddy got his first bull elk on that trip. Experiences like the one I had are the reason why I'll always love the great outdoors.

Learned a lot of great information from you on the gear and fitness but still unsure on finding good hunts since love in WV so not able to scout with boots on the ground. Great video, I hope there's more coming. I used to guide in Alaska and we lost some moose quarters to Grizzlies, watched a black bear run off with a moose Cape but he dropped it after 100 yards.
