Classic. Challenging childhoods for both of us but not what we would call abusive. Strict. Required behavior. Very much old school. Son of a military officer. Daughter of military officer. What are the odds? Both of us had to control our emotions as children - and we've carried this behavior with us throughout our adult lives. Both still struggling with feeling good enough. As far as I can tell third parties have been a lifelong distraction for him - nothing expected, nothing required - and nothing given. Whereas, I become hyper-focused on goals. According to Donna, 06,06,1952, Her childhood was absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! She Never Knew Her father, Her month was not loving, Not enough Money in the family, And She was sexually abused by Her uncle??????
