I needed this video so much, thank you. We are in Georgia as well & my oldest daughter is also starting 6th grade, I am excited for her but I am giving myself so much grace this upcoming year. Last year was one of the most frustrating years for our homeschool. For me...I put so much on myself about having to do it ALL. This year is so personal, not just for my babies, but for me & really getting BACK grounded when it comes to our home & remembering the reason I started homeschooling in the first place. We used a student planner last year & it was a hit for us. My kids wanted to be independent, I have to get back organized. Which has been a struggle. Thanks for so many reminders & things to think about as far as preparation. Anywho, I can go on & on lol, so I will stop here, thanks for sharing Mama. Also, getting her a locker, she is so excited about that. Happy Homeschooling!
Nice! It’s so hard to stay focus on choices when you see all the things lol. We started our journey around the same time. I love how you have become sure over the years and I can definitely relate with literally everything!
Ive been binging your content this week, so glad I found you! I also have 3 kids - 11, 5, and 3 in the same grades as yours. Id live to know what resources you plan to use / what methods you are planning for the Study Hall time with your 6th grader simce this is something Id love to work with mine as well over the year.
This was great, Brittany! Yes! We can homeschool middle school! I was scared too, but we're doing it. One day at a time. I'm outsourcing his science lab this year. It's not an area I feel strong in. I'd also like for him to have lab partners. I love that you have started planning for high school!
I am halfway in watching your video and I am 99 percent sure I saw you and your girls at our local homeschool library day! I had my 2 boys with me. I think it was culture day... south america maybe. What a small world if that was you!
Can you please do a video of more in depth of how you create credits (also grading) for high school starting in middle achool? Do you use a program? Also what things you would put in personal portfolio? I would love to do this too! I would appreciate your time thoughts, thank you!
Thank you for the video! New subscriber here! I homeschool and have one entering 7th grade this yearCan you give more info on what you mean about building her portfolio for those grants and scholarships? And also where should I start building a portfolio like you do for your daughter for the year(the one that contains her subjects)? Maybe a detailed video ??😅
Girl, if only I knew when we started about high school prep and dual enrollment. Not doing until 10th grade because we have some work to do this first year.
🙅🏾♀️One of my rules is that I don't watch curriculum videos for grades that my children are currently in. 😆 It saves me from a world of trouble! 🤦🏾♀️ I think it's very important that we think about high school years and keep them in mind as we're planning out subjects we're teaching our kiddos and their future plans. Thanks for this update and sharing your heart. 🤗
I am still debating on trying out Homeschool Planet which is a digital planner or we will just use the same free printable planner we used last year. I will link it in my bio. ❤️
