Your hair looks great! I am 13 months natural and I love it. At first, I was so insecure abt what I looked like. There were those who hated my look and they told me and some who kinda liked it. I was so conflicted but I didn’t falter. Today I absolutely love my hair. I started following you abt 6 months ago and you and you’re experience has been invaluable. I’m kinda a product junkie but I’m having fun. My hair has grown so much and I can attribute that to being natural. It’s thick, healthy shiny and she gives me life. Thank you for your inspiration. I was saying for the past year that I may go back to a relaxer but now absolutely not.
I been binge watching for videos for a whole month now. I love your hair! ❤️ i myself have had a buzz cut for years and never thought id grow my natural hair out...well that till the pandemic hits 😂 i decided i might as well grow do it since i couldnt go to the salon anyway. Its been a year now since my last cut.. i must say that i truly enjoy this journey ✨🥰
If your video is 17 minutes long and you catch me watching it entirely, you best believe i loved every minute of it! Your fro is so cute, it reminds me of mine, I big chopped in March 2018 and it is growing back like CRAZY and I saw your pic on my explore page and realised that my fro looks like yours!! I just wonder how do you style it? Because sometimes I feel like my hair is great, my curls are great, the growth is great but I feel like it doesn’t look good on my head, like the overall shape of it? Idk, I might be tripping
ahhhhh thanks so much :D I'm glad you enjoyed the vid! I've got plenty of other vids showing how I style my hair on here, which you might find super useful! the cut / shape of your fro can make allll the difference! maybe try a new cut? for mine, the sides and back are tapered--I keep the hair in the front nice and long :)
I big chopped at 4 or 5 months as well couldn't not take it nomore.I got alot of backlash from friwmds n family to but after I did it and was confident in my natural hair rocking it they was like ooookkkkk I like it on u. Girl u look awesome with your natural hair.
Angel GRAVES Hey Angel... I watched your big chop video and u look great after your big chop. It look really good on you. I will be 16 months post on December 24 and I am over it. I think I might big chop at the end of Dec...Bring in New Year with my natural hair.
Angel GRAVES Congrats for doing you! Let me say, I’m generally a very confident person but this TWA really tested me. Some of my family didn’t like it, some of my friends didn’t like it and it was hard. But I knew what I wanted to accomplish. 13 months later and having more products than the law allows, I really love it. Now that it’s longer, people say I like your hair now, but I didnt like it before. My response is always the same. “ Its a good thing that it’s on my head then, right”. People will always have a commentary, good or bad, but the key is to know who you are and be confident in your beauty.
It has been a year already?!?!?!? I am super proud of you and you look amazing!!! Continue to push yourself because you are blossoming into an amazing woman. Lol 12 year old Alyssa would have never cut her hair.
Hey sis! I'm late to the party, but stunning as always. I'm 9 months into transitioning and thinking of big chopping in a few weeks. At your 9 month mark, would you say that was the "awkward phase"? How hard would you say styling is around that length? xx
eeeeekkk!! how exciting girl!! I remember being in this same position - nervous, scared but sooo ready! you're going to look and feel amazing lovely!!!
Aha girl I’m 3 days away from being 1 year into my transitioning and all I wear is slick back buns. I’m so tired of them but I’m scared to cut my hair. I need to be able to bun my hair which is why I’m keeping my dead ends.
Heyyyy...first of all you have great videos and content. I will be 16 months post relaxer on Dec. 24 yayyyy for me 😂 because the struggle was real. But I am thinking bout big chopping sis and having my stylist cut it. And I can definitely relate because all I wear now is buns so I am like I should just cut it. My question is how do you refresh your curls in the morning after you slept on them. I live in cold Chicago and not trying to have to rewet my hair to have popping curls. It’s too cold for that... going outside with wet hair. If you have any suggestions I really appreciate it. I see some youtubers do that rewet their hair next day and nobody got time for that lol. I think that’s my main concern after I big chop what to do with my hair in the morning and still look cute 😊
LadyJ Kelley congrats on making it so long without a relaxer!! when my hair was shorter I had to rewet to refresh my curls... but you could rewet and then blow dry to avoid having to go out in the cold with wet hair 😘
Hi your vidios inspire me did my big chop this week and I'm already frustrated it looks so dry I'm from Trinidad and the products u mention I can't find here plss help lol
Anikia Miller try using mod water and a lot more gel. Then use a boar brush to brush your hair down. Then use a scarf to tie your hair and sleep with it on. That should work
Gorgeous before and after. I might just do the big chop. Relating to everything your saying the two textures wearing my hair down all the time and heat on your hair daily is oh so bad. This maybe the last time for the Creamy Crack 😊
I said I was gone transition for a year & two months later BAM 💥 big chop Oct. 6, 2020. I’m looking kinda bald right now but I’m good, I’’m seeing some length retention 🤩
New to your channel! LOVE the video!! I big chopped in February 2018 and never looked back. Best decision ever. And I agree that I’ve learned more about ME and I didn’t expect that. Such an exciting journey. You are so beautiful and I love your hair! ❤️
I big chopped after transitioning for a year, protective styles were a godsend because I couldnt do it, its actually my second time trying Lol I clipped a little at a time and went natural the first time the I permed it out of annoyance, but try number 2 🙏
