You actually got me back into reading this year! I enjoy your videos so much and the way you describe and summarize each and every book makes me interested in ALL of them. I appreciate all of the work you put into these videos and I appreciate you getting me out of a 10 year reading slump! 📚 😊
Project Hail Mary is fantastic. It’s exciting and funny and all the things you expect from that author. I got to interview Andy Weir a few months ago and he was a delight
The audiobooks to the First Law Trilogy is fantastic! You can tell immediately whose chapter it is and if I remember correctly the narrator gave Glokta a lisp which is just extra excellent (because for his inner monologue he speaks normally!)
We're book buddies 💜 I just finished the Bone Shard Emperor and will also read The Jade Legacy and Caliban's War (that I started thanks to you - i finished Leviathan Wakes yesterday and I'm still shoecked) this month!! Love from a fellow ARMY :)
I’m currently reading Caliban’s War and I’m surprised at how quickly I’m taking it in and enjoying myself! I enjoyed book 1 and my reading slump made me procrastinate on book 2 BUT, I think I’ll also be hauling the next books shortly like you have. 😂👌🏻
I had no idea Shea Ernshaw was writing an adult book!!!!! I will have to get A History of Wild Places asap!!! All of Us Villains sounds soooooooooo amazing! I haven't heard of that one before!
Without channels like this one. I wouldn’t be reading. I hated reading in school. Reading channels made think about how reading different books by different authors can be great
The Anthropocene (ANN-throw-pah-scene) Review is John Green's best book! I've never read such moving non-fiction in my life. I'd highly recommend listening to him read it for free from his podcast The Anthropocene Review or the audiobook. His wistful ramblings really shine through.
It really bugs me that so many booktubers who get a BOTM sponsorship - FAIL to mention that BOTM is ONLY available IN THE USA!!! Which means that noone from Canada, UK or Europe (or Downunder) can sign up or join up. That really BUGS ME!!!
I really enjoy how the Expanse authors name their titles using ancient places/concepts to reference the themes or events in the book (Caliban from The Tempest etc).
A flicker in the dark was a December BOTM and I started it and it’s GREAT! It’s an early release and a debut author. I wish I would have grabbed the shea ernshaw book 🙄 I didn’t even realize it was her and I adore her writIng.
I just uploaded a Christmas book haul if anyone is interested in watching another one :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s-KNuTDCyP0.html
Sooo the holiday swap sounds sooo good and just fun, its almost like the princes switch, the only problem i have is... I live in the Netherlands and here is the book 34.99 euros and it takes 3 to 4 weeks to come to your house. But i loveee your videos anytime i dont want to read i watch you and then i want to read❤️❤️
I am currently reading Jade Lwgacy, too! I always buy myself books lol. I did ask for a couple of books for Xmas, but most of them I just bought myself.
I never heard of the Essex Serpent either but that cover is beautiful and based on the premise I think I would like it. It's on the list now! Great haul! 😄
i'm so excited to hear your thoughts on hail mary. it was gonna be a 2-3 star for me UNTIL a certain character is introduced. it instantly bumped it to a 4 star.
You are correct about the Skyward series. Four novels (and 3 novellas, I believe, 2 of which are available now). I agree that this is not my favorite Sanderson series, but it's fun and interesting.
The Bone Shard Emperor was amazing! 🥰 I also read All of Us Villains as an ARC a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised with how fun it was, I hope you like it 🤍
