Yeah, grew up watching this show. I recall seeing Little John opening up his jewelry store when me and parents were driving downtown Cleveland on way to air show. 80's. Later me and mother saw little John in local pizza joint with his family. Just....memories.... I looked forward to this show as a kid. They filmed a few skits in my neighborhood in the 80's.
I'm from central Ohio and we got to watch Saturday afternoon. I was young, so I'm not sure if the adults were watching at night. But I always loved my afternoons with these two. Thank you to whomever uploaded these to RU-vid. I'm having a great laugh down this rabbit hole.
Skits were corny but I thought they were hilarious. Hey, I was a kid living in Cleveland, Ohio then. And we only had 3 channels, until along came 43 and 61. 😉
No not even close. Songs of the Polka King was a tribute album meaning that other people sung on it not just Frank Yankovic. The song in this video is called "Polka Place" by Bob Timko. They used a few different polkas and they were not all by Frank Yankovic and none of them were on the album Songs of the Polka King.
Heavy west side of Cleveland feel, Parma or maybe even North Olmsted. I love going back to visit my old stomping grounds of North Olmsted, Fairview Park, like a time warp… By the way Ghoulardi has a few words about Parma…
