Sleeping dogs is lively ...the people and the city, nights are always full of lights and people...it makes me feel like I'm there every time I play the game
It's kinda even tho bc in GTA u can't open the fridge in sleeping dogs u can, there's lots of thing that u can do in sleeping dogs that u can't In GTA and there's alot of things in GTA that u can't do in sleeping dogs.
Really sad to hear that the company of sleeping dogs that is united games has been closed for some reason which means that no other part of sleeping dogs will released 😭😓 one of the best games ever
@@AppyTheApe no it’s because it’s a gta like game that’s not called gta it just didn’t sell very well, I remember getting it for ps3 when it came out but I was the only person I knew that played it
@@AnimationAirlines it sold really well... When it was too late. This game launched with a lot of big AAA boys, the only thing I remember people praising the game for back then was it's graphics.
@Ash Salvatore!! not because hes asian, rockstar just lazy implement it in gta v. in gta san andreas you could change CJ fighting mechanism when you learn in a specific gym example: in Ganton gym, you can learn boxing fighting style and in san Fierro gym, you can change CJ's fighting style into kick boxing.
About the map size tho, I didn't really ever cared about the map size, but rather about the usability of the map. Is it fun to just roam around the map? Does it have something interesting? I must say that with Sleeping Dogs, some areas of the map (especially in the middle part) were really linear, though the nature was still great, it was especially good for drifting that part. Cities were all pretty different all with different feelings to it (something like GTA SA did with LV, SF, LS) Now let's look at GTA 5. I believe the map is really unique and fun to explore, but there just isn't much to do. There is one big city (which you spend most of the time in) then there is a small trailer park called Sandy shores and small village called paleto Bay. Sandy shores is somewhat interesting to explore, paleto Bay is not really interesting. Then you got 3 main mountains. Chances are you visited the one in the middle and the one on the left. One in the middle because it's big and one on the left either because of another small village or the scenic view. Anyways, you'll notice that apart from the top of the mount chiliad, the mountain itself isn't really entertaining. The one on the left however, is decent, since it has a small village 50% of people still don't know about, and some canyons which are nice. The one on the right (the one you didn't visit) isn't however interesting in any way. Unless you find a video about a ghost woman in which case, it's the most interesting one out of all 3 main mountains. Now, there are some highways connecting all the cities, chances are you didn't even stopped or slowed down to watch the view around you, so all you know is the road under you. I can't blame you because there isn't much to see around the highways. Then there are some desert plains which are completely uninteresting and some wilderness which isn't big enough for anyone to actually have fun exploring it. You may also notice some hills separating city (the interesting part of the map) from the rest. These are called Vinewood hills and there is some stuff to be found, but if you're playing like me, you didn't ever bothered to find it. In the end, the interesting part of the map is just the city (not even the whole city as a big portion of it are just useless buildings) and some stuff outside of it. In the end, the good part of the GTA 5 map is about the same size as the map of Sleeping Dogs, so.. Yeah.
@@riileyp I certainly just wanted to show my opinion, if anyone takes time to read it, I'd appreciate it, but I certainly didn't write it to be the top comment :)
@@the.campy.bambi_ no problem. Sleeping dogs is I believe a really good game however be aware it has some negative things, such as Arcade driving mechanics (even worse than GTA 5 but it is really easy to drift on the other hand), very weird ragdoll (honestly that might be negative for most of the people that are looking for euphoria ragdolls and stuff but personally I just find it straight up amusing) and the thing I personally hate the most about it, shooting. Even though shooting doesn't make the big portion of the game (most of it is melee or fist fighting which is really well done and some outfits even let you change to different fighting styles like kickbox, drunken fist and such). But overall the game is very good and it also has plenty of details. Like the paramedics not being as useless as they are in GTA 5. Though it is true most of the time they fail in reviving a person, but once they did I was genuinely surprised. They even use defibrillator so the reviving scenes are actually fun to watch for a few times. There is a lot I can tell you about the game but I hope you'll experience the best of it yourself.
@@dauphongii I bought it last night and installed a full game save to get a feel of the open world before I dive into the story mode. The map is so refreshing, even if it’s not huge (which is not really a problem for me because I’m a light gamer). I’m tired of American open world maps so it felt like I was actually playing something new. I also loved the music. I didn’t find the driving to be as bad as it’s claimed to be. I actually enjoyed it even more. And the best part is it’s compatible with MacOS and I have an M1 air (base model) that ran this game at high settings 1080i P very VERY smoothly. Can’t wait to explore more and play the story mode as well.
People fail to mention the fluidity of the single player campaign in sleeping dogs. Everything connected seamlessly and you are never left confused on what to do next. Playing the difinitive edition on PC max settings and driving through Hong Kong at night is life changing..
@@aintcappinlively to me Coz there are lots of random encounters and random events And lot of things to get engaged with... I dunno what version of GTA V y'all are playing? Coz I still got both sleeping dogs and GTA V in my pc
@@Stormertheboy And GAMMING CHANNEL Stop fighting over mafia 2 and gta 4. Both of them have great stories in their own way. Its not about realisticly and story telling, its about how their story goes and what happens then. Its also about our opinions. So stop fighting.
SD=small map, nice graphic, low spec, many details and you can interact GTA V=big map, great graphic, high spec, good detail but some detail can't interact
Bigger doesn't mean better. I rather have a smaller city that's more full and alive than an empty city. I love sleeping dogs. I couldn't play GTA V for more than 5 hours, I got bored fast
I bought gta v on release date back in 2013 . I got bored within 30 minutes of playing. It’s slow mechanics and fighting put me off. Sleeping dogs is far more better
Sleeping Dogs: 2011 GTA 5: 2013 Edit: if you love hand to hand combat, Sleeping Dogs is the best for you. Sleeping Dogs gave me a lot of great memories but still playin and loving GTA 5 even though it's a 5 y/o game.
I don't understand, are we playing a different Sleeping Dogs cos I drive like a boss in this game like 3:02. It's ridiculously fun doing jumping carjacks from a car to escape the police
Umar Assassin Thats my opinion i won't change it insulting me won't too you are just wating you're time bro Nobody cares if you like or dislike sleeping dogs just go complain elsewhere you're opinion just keep it to yourself and yes am gonna keep spamming you have problem with that ? Good
Yo this is the good thing about sleeping dogs when gta 5 fight with their hand it look like a kid look at sleeping dogs they have kung fu or some shit like muay thai in zodiac island
Fuck gta 5. It's just open and empty. Sleeping dogs had life in it. I literally felt like I went on a trip to Hong Kong playing that game. It was that immersive.
Sleeping dogs I actually loved the story and the combat and in grand theft auto five i called gta 5 boring but in sleeping dogs I was so sad when the game ended I actually legit cried I am not even joking I did
that is not true crime in my opininion its gta its the one that made these kind of game remember when gta 3 came out it got the 3D kind of crime world to games history
It seems some people are missing the point that Sleeping Dogs has better graphics but GTA V has better visuals... There's a difference... Graphics goes with details while visuals goes with how pleasing the game looks... GTA looks nicer because of a nicer city...But sleeping Dogs presents better graphics as there are so many detailed things even the main characters
Creating a new game second part takes time. New storyline, better graphics, More details... Sure will take lot of time. Maybe we could soon get to play SD2.
