You are a ridiculous person. This is a 24hr endurance race. I would wager that you can't even sit your lazy behind on your sofa for an hour without falling asleep. You personally would stand no chance of ever completing this race. No need of mentioning your wife's limitations when you provide enough of your own.
@@richardrahl-truthThey are professional drivers competing in professional races, it is obvious that they are going to go to the limit looking to be the fastest on the track.
I'd have to disagree, he took the straightest path possible even following the previous cars line and that painted apron did not affect his grip. His speed into the second turn and lack of adhesion is what lead him to spinning out.
@@jeffnist9921 IMHO what he did is either entering the wet curb too fast (for wet) or he lifted on the curb. It can be seen that he wasn't able to follow the wet tire mark on the a tarmac so he wasn't the one driving anymore. When he realized he hit the curb too fast, he most probably lifted so he wasn't turning under power, upsetting the rear end. But technically, whatever he messed up, he was doomed at the very moment he hit the curb.
obviously he made a mistake pushing too hard into that corner on wet track, but if you notice his correction attempt, he maintained power at 180 degrees and changed his impact angle, drastically moving his impact point by at least 30 yards...that angle was far more shallow and allowed for a bit more of a glancing impact than the direct one he was on his way to get. That little change made a big difference.
@@mickelgbvsmlift off oversteer. When the driver gets off the gas, the suspension loads the front wheels, and they grip harder, so he oversteers right and spins
The reason this happened is that he accelerated too soon before the chicane. At that high speed, any car would lose their rear end with over steer and end up in a tailspin. Imagine slowing down whilst racing, it does your head in eh? And that’s why we have deliberate accidents.
Nothing, Ayrton Senna went faster. This was an amateur mistake that even the pros still do. You dont use momentum in the rain period. His line was wrong as he came off the ramp in stead of holding that through he followed the curve to find that straight, shoot for the apex but that point of acceleration is exactly what threw him. Instead if you look at the line he hit the ramp at the top end should have followed through to the 2nd ramp and that would have extended the apex out giving equal traction by staying on the accelerator to allow him time to adjust for the straight on the tarmac not the paint job, instead it seems he floated at the end of the ramp to allow a slight adjust of his front end (look for it) as you would in the dry to push harder into the apex point as he tried to do but a deviation from the line at a wrong point even with all things being equal little thrust of power at exact deviant is going to give you same result everytime!
@@KrillinRoshi that’s kinda the point I was making, only briefer. Also, Senna was virtually a unicorn in the wet, I’m not sure anyone has been able to drive as fast as he could when it was raining!
It’s called practice for a reason they have plenty of spare parts. He was gauging the speed. He could truly push the car in the rain for the race. After all, that will be racing at those same speeds in that same weather 🥃✅ gonna have to lay off the gas and find the perfect breaking point at the maximum speed to make the corner and power slide without losing control control
That's why you don't take that curb in wet conditions or else every time you will end up in wall (nico rosberg also told in his spa analysis video that you should not take cause it's so risky )
@@davidshaw164that and the instability inbetween surfaces from the curb back to tarmac his back tire not completely settled when he accelerated potentially.
Also alle was von gehabt! Was willst Du jetzt noch mehr?
Yes but it's when he slams back onto the asphalt when the hydroplaning starts. Had he gone around the curb his tyres would have remained in contact with the road.
Because a test day is to figure out how the car will behave in quali and in race and what you can do to improve it. The goal is to simulate the conditions in quali and race, and you can only do that when you're risking it. A car behaves so, so, so differently on the limit or close to it than when you're just driving fast, so you need to go to the limit and do hard laps to figure everything out properly.
That’s what test drives are for push it to it’s limits sometimes it’s for track position for the main race most try to get POLE position , very front of the pack. Better odds of winning race because it’s the people behind you that will get involved in crashes
@@briankearn6991He would have died if he was on the higher side of the track, understeered straight into the observation deck. He did everything right besides maybe being a bit aggressive on the throttle. His tires are the issue.
