first album i consciously listened to by BDK was hes 98 veteran's day in 2009, so im like this dude spit fire with that grown man persona, but who is he, so i googled him & searched youtube, to my surprise hes the same dude that did alot of the songs i used to dance to and emulate in front of the tv when i was like 6, at the time i couldnt articulate the lyrics, i just liked that he rapped fast and spotted a col hair cut, then all these child hood memories start coming back that i had forgotten and how time had slipped by, life is smthng else
Kane is a legend with high moral values that have transcended from Hard working performances to iconic hip hop personality. Never forgetting his roots and his style outperformed many ither rappers of the era. Aome of the rappers now cannot battle on the spot rhymes kike the way Kane does ot, even today. Long Live the Kane!
Before Biggy Busta Pac J Cole Em Jay Z Papoose Game Nas Pun Lil Wayne..... "King Asiatic Nobody Equal was Supreme Lyricist & Influenced & Set the bar 4 MC's decades after" !!!!!
I like Big Daddy Kane. My only concern with him was he seemed so introverted so I, as a fan, never got to hear him in interviews or if he did cameos, I don't remember hearing them. But I was certainly happy to see him perform on Verzuz
It's funny how Big Daddy Kane stretched his arms out and put Jay-Z on. Now Jay-Z is a BILLIONAIRE . . . . . I wonder if he returned the favor . . . . . . .
the. big. daddy. hop hop old. school. 90s. Dylan Pierce. Crowley. my you. good my you. hi my you. good. my you greatest. my you. buddy. my you. hi my. you. good. my you. hi my you. good my you.
THE BEE-EYE-GEE-DEE-AY-DOUBLE DEE-WHY-KAY-AY-ENNY. King Asiatic Nobodys Equal. BUT, one can't 4get Marley Marl - He was the backbone for the juice crew. To me, the music is just as important. Can't hear you spit if your beats sound like shit.
I keep listening to Veterenz Day... This is REAL Hip Hop for me. Not real because the guy is a retarded thug for real (or even pretending to be retarded like nowadays), but because the man is telling the TRUTH. Real thoughts he wants to share with people, to make them stronger and wiser. That's HipHop for me. And btw. I'm from Poland and listening to hip hop from 1990 :D
That is the biznezz!!! Thx for the sharesyz!!! BTW, what is that music at 7:04...was that what Jody Watley used in her song, or a sample from BDK, or what? Plz help me out? Cheers
Kane I like a lot of rappers & you're in my top 5. I'm 45 now (the year now is 2917) & the way you dressed back around 1998 was so smooth to me that I started paying attention to how I dressed. I wanted to be a smooth operator then and still to this day. Long live the Big Daddy Kane.
