@@MrNikoid Because they rig the market by storing stock and trickling it out to maintain values. There are hundreds of thousands of cars parked up in storage
The Chrevolet Cruze is actually quite a good car, I had a 2.0cdti that I bought in 2013 as a 3 year old, ran it for 9 years until a Taxi T-Boned me 14 months ago & the insurance company wrote it off, if that hadn't happened I would still be running it now, it was super reliable family car.
in Ireland too, finally I'd say. But the problem is people don't have any money. It seems like you now buy a cheap car that you need or a much more expensive one if you got money. Nothing in the middle, just like the society, only poor and rich.
Great vid as always Lee , the only thing that does my head in at G3 is running two lanes so close together , you can hear the auctioneer on the other lane louder than yours !
Guide Price of £3100 for a Vitara that has done 134K miles! Seriously what is going on in the used car market these days? These car dealers must be swimming in money or rather the Auction houses are!!
Appreciate the warning about the sound interference between the 2 halls at the start of the video. I turned the sound down low and followed the prices via the text on screen. It must have taken you a while to add all that text to the videos. A great effort, much appreciated 👏👏
Is this a clockers paradise auction. Only kidding. 135 k and 185 k mileage motors looking presentable " ish" and selling for way more than they are worth. I'm only five minutes into your clip, and I'm looking forward to the rest. Keep posting, you are a good guy.
That Range Rover looked so clean but you know you will have a few head acks with problems. I see you upgraded your company car. Very nice. They hold there money.
I always wanted to have a car with a nice powerful engine (perhaps an older one that I can afford). However, I’m now resigned to the fact that any car I buy now will have a maximum engine size of 2.0 litres. Gone are the days of V12 and V8 cars, sadly.
@@fraser7744I accepted the delay. What I can’t accept is making it extremely difficult to return. And at the buyers cost to Germany…. A big company like autodoc vs eBay parts seller and even ebay you get a free returns label
I do really like A6 Allroad's. Lovely to drive. Insignia's are underrated cars too. I've got a 2011 SRI Nav Auto with 105k miles on the clock as my workhorse. Remapped to 206 bhp and 321 lb ft. It’s pretty quick, got loads of torque and is great on the motorway. Had it for 5 years. Not a single thing has gone wrong with it, and it’s passed every MOT without advisories. Cheap as chips motoring. I'll keep it till it breaks as it's only worth 2 balloons.
Another great auction video Lee, I think that you could have bidded a bit more on a couple of those cars but it's always the case of who you're bidding against I guess.
I sold my 08 shogun last august as diesel and tax was a killer. I moved to a 2016 focus 1.0 34k miles and 20 quid road tax. Sold the shogun for 4500 and paid 9700 for the focus. 4 years road tax difference bakes in another 2800. So over the 4 years the focus will have cost me 2400 before i even calculate fuel savings
Autodoc i recently started using for parts you are right there prices are good, But as a non business there postage is absolutely awful takes me weeks to get my parts im actually still waiting on one part that Evri still haven't received yet as i am tracking it.
@@carukchannel i love watching these auctions i have never visited one but am thinking of it sometime in the next 12 months as i am thinking of changing to a 4x4 pick up for my next car, also my daughter is looking for a car as she past her test 10 month ago but being a uni student the insurance is extreme £2,300 for 1ltr fiat 500's its extreme and the prices of current cars are mental for new drivers.
Auto focus is my go too as well I need crank shaft pulley & cambelt & tensioners . I put all my service parts in . I paid less for the stuff than what crank pulley on its own would cost in the uk
some cars are sold really cheap for exampel the Audi A3 S or so from 2011 with 185 k miles for 1250 GBP which would sell here in the EU for a lot more at least in driving condition and with MOT. Would here be sold over 5000€ in auction (net price)
the Cruze is an interesting vehicle. here in Australia they were built as a Holden Cruze and must have been spec'd up a bit on the Chev and perhaps the Vauxhall versions as they still go for good money. I think our 1.6 petrol was a turbo.
Vuxhall / GM did operate a 1.6 turbo petrol engine in Europe and was fitted to the astra H & J models, would not surprise me if they used it in the cruze in Australia as you do like some speed 👍😁
My mk2 Ford Ka is stiffer through the gears and reverse is grinding like mad. It just happened yesterday, fine the day before. Does this sound like the clutch has gone or something else?. Thanks. Only done 65K.
Could be clutch but they do suffer with gear linkages failing becoming hard to engage gear and very stiff. Turn the car off and try put in through the gears, if still feels stiff (note the clutch is not operating) then its a gear linkage issue. if it flows fine and only does it when the engine is on and using the clutch hydraulics its clutch related
In fact we had the same issue with gear linkages just last week on a ford ka2 can be purchased of ebay new for little money if it is that issue. Around 1 hour 30 mins to fit at a garage
They are, was chuffed when they asked me to do a advert as I do use them and got hold of parts I cannot get sometimes. Last part I had was a engine mount for a kia rio, could not find one but Autodoc had it. Saved my bacon or would of been a lost sale.
@@carukchannel yes I bought an Aircon pipe for my old mk4 golf. Vw don't make the part anymore. Oem 2nd hand part on ebay was £200+ Autodoc.. £89 delivered 🙌
What brain of Britton decided it was a good idea to have two auctioneers in close proximity to each other. Was the car you were sitting in with the cream leather part of your new stock.
Ok so i see the prices on most of the cars were a lot lower than on the screen between traders ,but on the forecourt for general public are they dropping as much probably not!😡😡😡
That Range Rover was a Bargin ,, Wish I was there Lee , I'd have bit off their hand ,, In need something like that with comfort access,, With being disabled,, keep em coming,, Stay Well ,, Hope ya wife is Enjoying the Evoque , 👍🏻
@@ianchennells84 Agree that modern Diesels when 10+years old and/or mileagely with DPF, DMF, turbos, electronic injectors, EGRs, 18,000 mile services etc are problematic and prob best avioded but not new ones, and half that stuff is now standard on petrols anyway along with wetbelts
Yeah they work for taxis because they do a lot of miles, keeps the dpf clean ,the average joe who does 6 miles a day to work abd occasionally sunday drive, have problems. @Finglesham
2017 was soon after Dieselgate. Some sort of ULEZ seemed inevitable after that. I was actually put off buying a diesel in early 2015 due to the number of two year old Audis "rolling coal" whenever they accelerated hard.
Why don't they look around the cars before they go into the bidding area rather than trying to look important running around it whilst auction is on and not bidding anyway, and i must say there were some ignorant people who just stood in your way not giving a toss.
There so much rubbish for sale High miles, C/S/N are up for sale as well. Maintenance and Insurance is a big cost factor now. Plus greedy finance companies. I wish I didn't depend on my car it's nightmare keeping it on the road. That not including the idiots out there driving not giving consideration to other drivers.
if its 1 year old I would have no concern, the 998cc engine in older vehicles have had some issues but this high mileage cars 5 year +. I like the dacia stepway new model a lot of car for little money
I do find it curious that you talk about 100k miles and over being a lot. Most cars if they’re well serviced will last way, way longer than that especially if they’re diesels. You can find out if it’s a good car by simply looking at Car Vertical, Vehicle Score and We Buy Any Car Check to see whether it’s passing MOTs and if it’s passing them with no advisories.
Hi lee,so as we haven't seen an Aston barcley video for a while is that because they have stopped you filming like they have valley autos and vision prestige on RU-vid?hopefully it's just because you haven't been but be interested to know, cheers lee👍
Lets be honest AUTODOC have a good range of parts and at reasonable prices but you can wait 3 or 5 or 7 days so if your not in a hurry to get the parts all good but don't except a fast delivery
Yes if you want next day then its a issue, but if your ordering in advance of a service or change brakes etc then it works. Also I use them the parts I just cannot source from my local motor factors, which I am happy to wait for. Anyhow thanks for watching tlabort and for the feedback 👍👍👍
Spirit 11 regarding the boot have you checked all the keys as there is a valet key which will start the car whilst in for servicing but won’t open the boot? Looking forward to you working on the car👍
Autodoc are awful, I purchased 2 headlights from them, 1 was broken when I opened the box. The woman on the helpline told me I should have checked the lights before the courier left and as I signed for them, no refund no exchange. Be guarded.
I have driven them for years way before YT, they are not as expensive to buy as you think if you buy them at a particular age. Thanks for watching liberalmatt 👍👍
Your spending as much time at Castleford-Wakefield area as me and i live here, think you should have bud a bit more on the seat Ibiza at 135,000 miles it would still sell at say £1895-1995. Also the 15 plate ragtop Fiat 500 it went for £3300 if you had bought that for £3500ish im positive thats a £5495 car if not more . Even if its a little more than what you sell a week in the Autotrader a young bird my daughter's age mid 20s would be all over it. She wanted a white 500 as her first car she ended up with a 207 no doubt she will buy 1 at sometime.
Re autodoc.. can you genuinely say your order is delivered within days from placing the order? Or is this just a sales pitch.. any order I’ve made has taken weeks
