I like a few unpainted rivets for contrast. If you really need to paint the rivets, a 50-100 dollar air brush will do the trick nicely. They will shoot paint nicely. Almost zero over spay too. Forget about using primer with an airbrush however. They aren't made for high solids in that most 2k primers have. Airbrush for small jobs and touch up is easy to learn on your own If you want to primer then use a primer in a spray can for the rivet heads . Btw, The red color is awesome too!
Thanks! Do you have any links to the kind of air brush you are talking about? I want to look into this and learn more. Sounds like a better solution than anything I had in my head so far.
We may end up with the same, and you are right, it still looks amazing either way. It is the rivets that go into the Side Rails that I think we will want painted the most.
