Big files are unavoidable, which is a bummer for Google Drive users as it poses a maximum size limit for preview. But you can reduce the file size for any format.
Divide huge files into smaller ones
For a big PDF document, take advantage of the free extension called Split PDF Files. But splitting big RAR/ZIP is more time-consuming:
Download the huge file and launch the 7-ZIP File Manager.
Surf through the Downloads folder.
Do a right-click on the file.
Choose the "Split file" option.
Enter the location where you want to save the splitter file.
Identify the biggest file size limit for the split parts.
Other file formats can also be splitted by 7-Zip File Manager. The application will utilize its own file name. But the Cloud File Renamer tool can easily rename your file.
Erase EXIF data
The EXIF Purge tool can remove metadata from images. Simply pick the images and specify the destination location.
The Easy File Renamer tool can remove metadata from MP3 files. Just press the Music Fixer option and add the MP3 file. Finally, Adobe Acrobat removes metadata from PDF files. Press Properties and Additional Metadata.
