BIG FISH features direction and choreography by 5-time Tony Award® winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, The Scottsboro Boys), music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family, The Wild Party), and a new book by esteemed screenwriter John August (Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). Saw it on broadway. Mezzanine was half empty. Such a criminally underrated show.

It's so weird to attend a new show on Broadway that isn't doing well customer wise. I always feel bad for the cast.

@@Analblockage Yes. That's what I admire. You can feed of the audience buzz at mash hit? But I'm amazed at underrated gems like that when the performers give it their all and sell the show!

Chocolate Souljah I’ve performed in shows that had little attendance and shows that were full. No matter what you have to perform like you’re performing to a crowd of thousands. You have to lose the ego and have some humility.

@@Analblockage Yes and I've seen some people in long run hits "phone it in." Stars even so it's all the more reason I'm thrilled at the kind of integrity that you express. I teach youth musical theatre. I teach youth musical theatre and it attracts audiences due to the nature of the clientele. The big issue there is reminding them not to play to the distraction of the grumpy teen cousin texting in the front row but to play it real for the rest of the audience and to the distraction 100%

its such a shame that Bradway musicals aren't all captured on Dvd this production seems electrifying. and I'll never get a chance to see it.

I played the witch in my school production along with another girl and it was so much fun. This musical is so beautiful it's probably one of my favorites now because of doing this show

performed this show last week. such a beautiful show and was by far one of my favorite core memories for theater. also love how every director has a different vision for this show. wish i got to see it when it was still showing

I was lucky to get to see this wonderful show on Broadway last year. It was beautifull,superbly entertaining and deeply moving. I was shocked that it didn't run longer as it was a heck of lot better than some of the other shows I saw like Aladdin (ho-hum), If-Then (Zzzz...) and Matilda (good but one-note). I hope it is revived in regionals across the land however the one thing it won't have sadly is the amazingly talented and riveting Norbert Leo Butz.

Big Fish is my FAVOURITE film!!!! I cannot secribe how amazing i think it is:-) hopefully the show is a success and comes over to England i would love to see it! although i know i'd ball my eyes out!

LOVE Norbert... but didn't like the MOVIE Big Fish. So I didn't go to see the show. Fast Forward a number of years... and I saw the show at a local university. LOVED it!!!!! - MAN! I wish I would have seen Norbert in it while I could. Kicking myself now.

Cosmo Dusty it is playing at Moonlight Amphitheatre in VISTA CA just north of San Diego. GORGEOUS outdoor venue. you should check it out. They do GREAT shows.

This lyrics are humorous....I love the movie BIG FISH.....loved the idea of making a musical of BIG FISH.....however....I'm one of those individuals who's life happens to echo what I believe is supposed to be represented here.....(and, not criticizing the production....but, the word choices used to express the emotion....seem rather "dead fish"....rather than a living Mermannish person.....or....one who believes in the right to believe.
