i made this today for my husband's newest greatgrand on the way. her middle name is to be Star⭐️! i started sewing the edge seams together but quickly changed to slip stitching it together. it went a LOT faster and no pulling alllllll that yarnnnnnnnnn thru each stitch😃👍🏼 Thanks Jayda!!

Hi Jayda, I love this adorable star pillow. I made mine in a gorgeous cream chenille yarn by Bernat and I love it!!! Stars symbolize divine protection, magic, and happiness. My favorite quote I made was "Without the dark, you can't see the stars". This means a lot to me because I have suffered with major depression for a few years because of my personal traumas and all the suffering in the world. I have lost a lot of hope but one day at a time. Thank you so much for making all of us happy and I pray for you and your loved ones health and happiness. I love my star pillow, thank you!!! Jayda InStitches I've made 3 blankets with this yarn and am currently working on my fourth. 3 are a v stitch and the current one is a square that just keeps getting bigger with each round. I'm making it for my king size bed. I am searching for a square pillow pattern to match the other smaller throws for my loveseat and couch. Love your star!! Thank you for posting! We just added great-grand baby #4 to the family!! Since we are so close to Christmas it got me thinking about making each of our grandchildren their own personalized star with the words “A star is born” and the year of their birth; either cross stitched on or adding some kind of hanging tag? Hi Norma! Congratulations! I love that idea of yours, what a sweet gift idea! You could easily make them each one of these star pillows (it's an easy enough crochet project to get back into the swing of things with - and you can use super bulky weight yarn of any kind, not just blanket yarn like we used here) and you could add a little hanging tag with some embroidery on it...we even have a tag tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nE-bp_NV6Ws.html

When you are making the star points are you going through only 1 loop of the stitch or both loops starting at the second row? Thanks!

Hi Thea, I use the whole stitch (both the top loops of each stitch) throughout this pattern :)

Hi Jayda! I loved the star idea so I just started to do the star pillow...jayda also I was wondering ive seen this elephant crochet rug in pictures,, maybe you could do a tutorial on that cause no one explains better than you!

Thank you Jayda for this wonderful pattern . I already made it and it's lovely. I made it with bulky yarn available at my place. How do I make it one size bigger ? Using the same yarn ?

Hi! Hold 2 strands of the largest yarn you have together and use a hook large enough to make stitches that aren't too tight or too loose. It will size up 😊
