It certainly does roar 🐯😂. I have to say the G3 is my all time favourite

Mine are the G5, Legend II, my Classic Omega, the my great grandmother's 4C, 519, Dual Sanitronic 50, and the Avalir though that could change with the next one.

It's unique. I like the diamond pattern on the Diamond Edition, too. I admit I am a little biased, though, since that is the model I own ;-)

When we originally got the Classic Omega it came with a thick pinstriped bag. They had shakeout bags then and the bag was a very thick muted sort of muted mauve and the pinstripes were made of white vinyl. When it was serviced at fifteen it needed a new bag and since then it's had a very thickly woven sort of olive green, goldish color. Aside from constant emptying we'd vacuum it out after shaking it we'd vacuum it out with in the garage with our shop vacuum and dad would take it to his dry cleaning business and clean it and the two cloth bags for our Electrolux XXX before the waste people came with the truck and changed the fluids.

I feel most secure knowing that I have a Kirby and an Aerus/Electroluxin the house as I know that I'll always have an upright and a canister no matter what life throws at me financially and the others that I have are all icing on the cake.

Kirby and pre Aerus Electrolux are my faves and my main collection.

Fur like that never does well with dirty fan machines, his fur was just too fluffy like you said. Fun to try though.

That's a great idea. You could weigh the bags with the tear off (fishmonger and butcher's term for weighing the bag on the scale and resetting the scale zero.) Then you weight the bag after using the machine.

I know, I have in the past for the mess tests, but I really wanted to see how it coped, will be doing the same in future vids to see how each vac copes with a big mess. 😂😂😂😁, they won’t break as I am pretty sure the capabilities of the vacuums.

It won’t break you tool! Kirby’s are built to last the average persons life time! It just got blocked! It was merely a demonstration to see what it can cope with when pushed to its absolute limits. Obviously it isn’t and wouldn’t be used to perform these tasks every day. However, my Sentria is used for EVERYTHING daily from normal vacuuming, to cleaning out the open fire, vacuuming out the cars, blowing leaves in the garden and picking up half a bag of compost. It’s fell down a whole flight of stairs a few times, fell out the back of a van (twice), been blocked on numerous occasions and she still is going strong and works as well as the day I got it....every situation that you COULDN’T EVER throw at most vacuums has my kirby been faced with and NOTHING has broken....if there is one thing I am sure of, it is Kirby’s durability as a manufacturer.

Dude, take it easy and stop calling people derogatory names. It was a joke that apparently you missed. And I know exactly what a Kirby can do as I repair all makes and models as well as test with an airflow box and particle meter. Jeez, kids these days...

Ah yes, Gillian lost his eye as a puppy, he scratched it with his claw and it damaged the retina. He was about 6 months old when it happened, so he adapted to it very easy. He does however tilt his head when he looks at you which is very cute. He’s such an adorable dog.

That’s so true, this kind of test is never any good for a dirty fan cleaner. My Sebo uprights can handle this with the most ease.

They certainly are not convenient at all, but work sooooo well! Except when picking up clumps of fur. I purposely didn’t pick up the chunks as I wanted to see how it would cope. Not very well! When the clumps were up it was awesome. I do run through the house once a month just to Kirby the carpets as they do such a good deep down clean.

One thing that I have found sucssessful is to vacuum fur clumps first with the head a notch above the correct setting to vacuum the clumps and do a top clean, then LIRR the head and deep clean the rug.

I will try that’s method next time with the G4, good thinking Batman!

HooverLux I know that they are inconvenient, but a Kirby deep cleans better than any other vacuum cleaner I have seen or owned!

I’m surprised that the dust does t. One out that bag!!!! I love it.

I don't pick up lots of like that but find that the fleece and paper bags tend to get "coated" with dirt all around the top area that's above the fill line. I shake mine to let it settle.

That’s very true, don’t think it had the power to push the fur down into the bag, regardless of quantity in this test, it didn’t make best use of the bag. Unlike say a Sebo that PSG’s the bag solid, even an old Electrolux canister!

Sebo's air channeling and top fill designs are absolutely brilliant. The G and X series machines have that filter running parallel to the side of the bag that guarantees suction until the bag is full. On the Felix the filter is of course the outer post motet filter cover on the outside of the machine and the vents under it achieves the same thing. Then there's the D canister design. It's air management is a tour de force example of brilliant design. Where I think that they need improvement is in the level of filtration of the bags themselves. With a bagged vacuum today, the consumer should never see any dust in the bin if they always change the bags a little early. Besides it's now the standard to achieve an HEPA 11-13 rating that I know of with the bag itself so no post motor HEPA filter exceeding S class filtration. This means that the post motor filters are already more than capable of filtering all of carbon from the motor's exhaust. We should all write to them.
