My favorite way of running tags is running two of them (especially double Uhlans) and my brother runs a tag as essentially a large distraction piece so while his enemy is investing in killing it he does the objectives.
I feel like another point to mention of tag use is caise you have such extreme mobility with a tag the idea of pushing forwards and backwards so you come oit utilise your shooting then retreat to your established defences especially turn 1.
