The thing that makes Big Head so great a character is that he's a nice person. He continually supports his friends, he never went out of his way to screw someone over and he's never said anything bad about anyone on the Show.
The unrealistic thing is that on the show, good fortune keeps coming his way. In real-life Silicon Valley, I doubt the character you've described would do as well.
I have to admit, Bighetti was my favorite character. I like in the last episode when they ask him why the guys called him “Big Head”, and he said something like, “You know, it’s just guys being guys”. And the interviewer said, “It’s not because your last name is Bighetti (Big-head-i)? And he stood there almost like a huge revelation, and nodded his head. That was hilarious.
That mass effect 3 multiple endings diss.. yeeesh. It's even more accurate how it's confirmed that they took the Red ending over the other 2 endings as the canon so the multiple endings thing really is useless.
if you ever made a startup with friends this is a huge problem (firing and getting back shares of useless founders). often a reason we leave and make new and better startups
I've been a Big Head my entire career. Early on I put myself in the right place (San Francisco) at the right time (pretty much any time) and surrounded myself with smart and ambitious people. Poof, opportunity rained down on my head. All it took was letting go of my safe hometown situation and the dive bar, watching sports every weekend lifestyle. I'm not the smartest guy in the room or even the hardest working but I took some risks early on and that's really all it took. And now I get to go jump in my the pool with my dogs.
One thing people need to understand is that you don't have to be the smartest person. If you can get others to do stuff well; that is a mark of a good leader. Let the hard workers work and let the charismatic good people lead. I hate how often there are wage caps for operates, engineers, technicians, and sales. If you're a good operator, should be able to continuously get raises. If you're a good engineer, should get continuous raises. If you're a good salesperson, should never have a cap on how much money you make. If you get 10% of sales, and you sell 100million worth of product, you are absolutely worth 10million dollars.
"Oh, hey man." - Classic gilfoyle. I do this stuff for a living and know a few people like gilfoyle irl. Before I watched this show I thought they were kind of assholes but now I realize they're just insanely tuned in logically to a not so logical universe lol.
I fill sorry for big head because he have to do the walk of same twice and become millionaire than lose every thing. I mean he experience both side of life and never ever have to feel anything
C mon people, just think of it in a common sense. He is a professor who teach Gavin's creation so called it ethics at Stanford University while big head is president. So let's say, any professor can go to any University to teach a subject or field. And the source of their income is coming from the Uni not from the creator of the subject.
I'd keep a loyal friend They are hard to come by, IMO Big Head wasn't stupid, He was able to put together complex architecture, memorize large numbers, his intelligence wasn't like others, they didn't know how to put him to good use.
Reminds me of when I was avoiding breaking up with my girlfriend but then her landlord ended up raping and murdering her. Weight off my chest for sure!
