Becka, I will be praying for you! When my daughter was five years old she had a spinal tap at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to determine if she had Lyme meningitis (bacterial not viral). I was in the room when they were prepping her. There was a team of amazing healthcare professionals. Everything went great! They were wonderful! Btw it was Lyme meningitis and a month later we were told by the neuro ophthalmologist that she was completely healed! So we had a very positive experience with a spinal tap. My daughter will be 20 in ten days!

Hi Becka! You will do great! I had one done almost a year ago, and it went well, didn’t feel anything, just make sure you lay flat afterwords as long as you can! Hopefully you have somebody to watch your kids so you can rest at least the first 24hrs!

Hey Becka, i cant imagine what you are going through but i know you are strong and brave and will come out the other end, i do know about hereditary stuff though, my husband has just found out he has prostate cancer which his father had so is hereditary, sitting down with our 14 year old son and explaining it to him was the hardest thing to do but the best thing to do for future him, i love your videos, but dont forget to take care if you!!! ❤❤❤

Hi! I have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (used to be known as pseudotumor cerebri). I had to have a spinal tap to diagnose it. They did the spinal tap and measured the pressure of the csf coming out, and they also allowed it to drain off the excess fluid off of my brain. The worst part was lying flat for hours afterward. It wasn't bad just boring. It was painless, and not a bad experience at all. In fact, all my symptoms of my IIH went away immediately, and I was so grateful. I pray that you have a great experience, and you get answers and relief!

I so feel you Becka, I have severe chronic pain from multiple issues, headache/migraines being one of them. People can’t understand how draining it is. Between the physical and emotional it’s very wearing on you. I’m glad they’re going to get your aneurism taken care of. I had one I’d didn’t know about until it ruptured. I was so blessed to get great medical care. The surgery went well, and I came out with very little problems. Best of luck to you, and thank you for the update. ❤

I have stage four recital cancer so I do CT scans every four to six months and MRI scans every four to six months depending on my lab results.Niether of them are bad at all.The MRI does take a good while so for me laying on that hard table is uncomfortable .I would say the the contrast and barium are not fun but I am not sure you will need that.I am praying for you❤🙏

My son had a spinal tap done and he done well with it. They made it sound so much worse than it actually was for him. I believe you will handle it well. I’ll be praying for you sister

I’m one of your best supporters. Just get whatever you need to get. My husband had to have a stent put in his heart because of heart attack. This was in 2007 and he’s doing great. He’s on blood thinners also. You’ll be fine, I promise. Husband has had back surgery for a sciatic nerve and doing really good. It doesn’t bother him. On top of everything, I had a hip replacement in Oct. and doing fine. I’ll pray for you.

Wow! That all sounds very nerve wracking and I can understand why you are nervous! I have all the faith that everything will go as exactly as it should and you will get the answers that you need. It would really be amazing for you to get all of this taken care of so you can be free of these headaches and appointments and tests. We are all here to rally around you and the boys and be extra support for you. I’ll be thinking about you and sending you all the calming vibes this next week.

I'm praying for you! I have a brain tumor that causes me to have seizures, among other things. I opted to to the medication route instead of having it surgically removed because my kids were very young and I'm a single mom. Now that they're older, I'm not ready, but willing to have the surgery. All of that to say I understand how emotional these situations can be, I'm right there with you. Cry if & when you need to, you've earned that right! I hope this helps even if only in a small way. You Are Loved!!!💞

I totally understand chronic pain I have trigeminal neuralgia witch triggers migraines which are imacranial continua I've had a migraine for 6 days with no relief from my meds prayers for healing sweet lady 🙏

My mom had to have a spinal tap to help diagnose her MS. She did great and was 70. I was more concerned than she was. You will be fine but I think you do have to lay flat for awhile. Mom even did great with a biopsy in her lung and breast. Mom was on blood thinner also and had to go off for 2 weeks prior. She had so many MRIs and PET scans and always did great. I'm sorry you are going through this. I'll be thinking about you.

I had a spinal tap when i was 13 it wasn't that bad. Once it's on its painless and they drain the fluid.If you have had and epidural it's less painful then the spinal tap. ❤🙏🤗

Sending you many prayers Becka. My husband has had a spinal tap and blood patch as well. Just be sure after your st, lay!! The blood patch was a piece of cake for him. You are strong! You’ve got this!! My cousin has several stents in her brain. She has been dealing with this for years. She’s now 69. She’s doing just fine!! Hers is hereditary. I know you are scared. But I have faith you will be fine! You are young and healthy ❤ I will keep you in my prayers. And send all the positive vibes to you. I’m sorry you are going through this but I know you’ll be fine!
