Hooks in your finger is like kayaking. It's not if you flip , it's when you flip . Mate , you did a good number on yourself. SUBSCRIBED when I figured it was you .
I was hooked in a similar way. I went to the ER and they did the trick with the braided line there lol. It works really good when done properly. It took them two tries
I just had one in the forearm a couple of weeks ago and after the second yank, it didn't come out!! I had to push it through and cut the hook then pull it back. Good choice going to the doctor, a lot less pain!!!
I had a hook in my finger today and my brother just pulled it out and was the best option because it was tangled to the fishing string and didn't have any ice had to pull it out with pliers
The string loop around the bend of the hook is good. The next step is to apply pressure on the shank of the hook . The object of the pressure is to stretch and elongate the entry hole, and at the same time disengage the barb. While holding the pressure on the hook shank, a quick tug in the line will ordinarily pop the hook out. It has worked for me. However! You still have a potentially septic puncture wound. To see the Doctor in battle against potential sepsis,MRSA, etc is wise! If you will see the Doctor anyway, they may as well remove the hook. If I'm 50 boat miles from the dock and then 3 hours drive to the Doctor........and I'm among 40 inch Pike, I'll likely pull the hook. I'm not a Doctor and this is not medical advice. I'm describing how I have helped myself when I was hooked. You are on your own, making your own decisions. Don't blame me if they amputate your arm. I carry a small bottle of Betadyne and some sterile syringes. I have irrigated the puncture with betadyne and packed it with antibiotic ointment. If the wound seems happy, I keep fishing, If it gets angry, I'd go to the ER,
Lol the same thing happened to me ..huge treble like yours to, unhooking a large pike and hooked up my thumb while still attached to pikes jaws..omg that hurt when it shook its head...anyway my thumb was that numb 30 mins later I just turned the hook until the barb came out ..just lol and cut off the barb ..removed..moral of the story always use the correct tools when unhooking fish
@@crowwing9322lol same here i did the same thing this guy did i was fishing and got a good size bass went to remove the hook and the fish shook and the hook shot like a harpoon into the top of my hand it was so freaking painful i didnt wanna go to the ER so i just did this trick i saw it on tv
Literally just happened to me last weekend tried yanking it out barb wouldn't let me without ripping meat the trip to the hospital was painful as my wife hit bumps I tried alleviating my hand on a towel they gave me a numbing shot and inserted a flexible tube into the puncture entrance and got it out idk if I wanted to kiss them or give them a hug I'm going to buy me a fishing net
Had many a hook in finer and face. That was TOO BIG. Let the dr cut BIG hooks. The hook doesn't suck, having to leave fishing to get it removed sucks. Especially kayaking back w it.
I got a hook stuck right below my eye when my friend was clowning around when we were fishing thank Jesus it did not hook my actual eye he had to yank it out I still have a scar
