I really want a big ficus elastica Belize, they are so beautiful and easy 😍 The biggest plant I've got currently is a calathea warscewiczii and I check the leaves for spidermites at least 4 times a day but it's too pretty to get rid of, I'll just have to live in constant stress forever.
If you try crotons again and don't think you'll be able to water as often then I'd get a larger, more established one. My largest one is in a 10"-12" pot and I water maybe twice a month. Put it outside in the spring and summer to get that super dark foliage and good grow lights indoors to keep it happy. My smaller ones are in 3"-4" pots and need water much more frequently and decline rapidly if you don't water it at the first signs of thirst. However, smaller ones do better under below-top-tier grow lights than larger plants, as long as they're full spectrum lights.
I don’t get why olive and citrus are recommended for indoor plants. It might be different for different areas and zones but where I live in Cali those things need full sun outside to grow, I can’t imagine them growing much inside or ever giving you fruit
