AC sounds like my 4 uncles when they got together. After being raised around them, I can understand every damn word he said. And I know some of yall can too. My mom's brothers getting together on Sunday was a don't miss event. RIP UNCLE RON & DON.
@blade-ts9fr Your mothers' brothers & allllllllll of my fathers brothers and sisters sound exactly like AC. They kept us a "happy", "happy" LAUGHING family.
2nd Ave I grew up on 4th Ave and Jefferson with great memories OF 2nd Ave 3rdAve, 4th Ave , 5th Ave, 6th Ave ,7th Ave. I carried Big James Football Tradition out of that area. I Could be the only one out of the 30's who made it to the NFL. SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE HARLEM'S HOMIES I GREW UP WITH. THAT'S WHERE I GOT MY HEART FROM. I DIDN'T FEAR SHIT ON THAT FOOTBALL FIELD.
I grew up on 31st between Arlington and cimmaron. I went to Dublin elementary on 39th street and Dublin ave. Its called tom Bradley elementary now. Much love to all yall
That’s crazy he died 30 years after his Incarceration wow RIP to Big James Miller thank you Kev and S Mac for y’all dedication peace and blessings and thank Jesus the Homie accepted Christ ❤
I can listen to all these OG’s all day talking about the old days… Its crazy that it was so many different reputables who grew up together, had genuine respect for each.. I hate the fact that it separated due to the gangs but man… they was laying it down back in the days… respect Kev Mac ✊🏾💯🔥
Man I hate that it took being locked down for these brothas to learn structure. But Its a beautiful struggle as Frederick Douglas so elegantly coined it. Glad that BJ found God in the end. Thanks for sharing Kev Mac. These young thunda cats may not get they lesson in class but you provide an avenue for them to get it through your work. Keep at it my brotha God bless you and your mission🙏🏾
Thinking back, I'm glad dad kept a leash on the testosterone he produced in his boys. Having been a young boy growing into manhood himself, he kept tabs on the thoughts and actions of the invincibles. Held to a standard that surpassed the streets, I had a duty to myself to stay in line. I had choices to make. Out grew him in 9-10th grade, hormones raging as nature would have it. Didn't mean a thing. If you wanted it, you could get it. I didn't want it. Mom saved us numerous times. (Thank you 🙏) He always said "Honor, discipline and respect". Standing on my own for many years now, I still hear those words coming from his mouth. Still using what you told us years ago.🤎 Another good one KevMac!
I had a dad like that too. Thank God every day to be so so so blessed....I did not look at it like then though....🤣Nicca you ain't grown...don't be in such a hurry to grow up....I'm not gonna tolerate no attitude from you when I tell you what to do...
Another big piece of a puzzle. Thank you for what you do Kev and so as Smac. The research that you guys do is a must. Gang history is still part of California history.
Ok I've been waiting for more info on big James, I always said he was talked about but not talked about ..I knew he started Harlems but not CCO..another W for KMV !
AC story, was legendary.Obviously Big James Miller had a reputation, heart and size on em,But AC caught that fade like warriors do and left it right there in the Halls ended up becoming homeboys from opposite sides.Makes you wonder how everything went so bad in Los Angeles
That happens a lot - mutual respect is given when the fade is accepted and heart is put into it. Sometimes we remain enemies though - and every time we see each other it goes down.
Now u understand STAND WHY I GOT OUT SO EARLY. MY HEART WASN'T AND NEVER WAS INTO FIGHTING THOSE I GREW UP WITH. JIMMY MILLER AND I PLAYED TEDDER BALL AND SOCKBALL TOGETHER...MACK THOMAS AND ROBERT BELLAMY...WE ALL WENT TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOGETHER. HEAD HUNCOO AND HUNCO.JIMEL BARNES...RAYMOND WASHINGTON...BIG MOUSE...Mike berry...Kenny Carter. ...Robert Munson...the.list is long...these guys was my friends...I wasn't trying to kill them.
That’s the only way to make sense of all these fairy tales people keep posting online. It would be a whole lot better if people just offered first hand knowledge and kept things factual but i realize that’s asking too much
Dudes had way more natural testosterone back then, they didn't have all these chemicals and carcinogens in they're foods, water and air like we do today
@@rigobryant8050 I could be wrong but I don’t think they had access to creatine and protein powder like that. A lot the dudes from back then were all on swole
Great content Kev Mac💯, Gotta luv a respect Rocc Head and everyone that has spoken his or her story on your platform, Stay up, continue to do good works and Continue to be Blessed...🙏🏾
Up Next From KMV: "you won't know until you tune in"....lol! Kev have you almost wrecking the whip when that notification hits! Keep this thing of ours going and truthful bro. As always good shit!
KEV MAC CUZZ " THIS YOUR BOY LODOWN " YOU CLEARED IT UP ABOUT THE GEE HOMIE BEING FROM NEW YORK...MUCH LOVE TO THE GODFATHER OF ORIGINAL HARLEM GODFATHER CRIP .THANK YOU BIG JAMES FOR PAVING THE WAY FOR ME !!!!
99% of the black populations in cities in the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast came from the South. There used to be direct railroad lines directly from the deep South to cities like Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, New York, L.A., St. Louis, etc, etc, etc, etc.... Go back far enough in the family, in any city outside of the traditional South, and the black people there will tell that their family members originally came from the South at some point.
Big James Miller ( Tha Brim Killer ) That’s a Dangerous Name to live with’ Let’s you know how active the Brims must’ve been in the early 70’s And to you New York Cats, Big James isn’t from Harlem out in Manhattan🗣
Man, this crazy that hood you showed in the pic of NY, that’s my hood and I’m watching from there right now! Plus I got family out in L.A! I once heard that the area where the Harlem’s held down was considered a prominent black area like Harlem or Like a west Harlem. No Hate just love for the great content! Back to the Video
I have strong family ties to Harlem 30s. My great grandparents lived across the street from Denker Park (35th Place) and my uncle and several cousins are from over there.
Good one Kev Mac.. But everyone always calls him Big James Miller, but I’ve heard anyone put numbers to his size.. what was his HT/WT, biceps, bench press or something to give people who didn’t know him some measurable! Thx in advance
And don't get talked about from the so called Crips who were there since day one smh lol, Cutes along with maybe a couple more the only ones who spoke on him lol
You fellas are on your 💩...it isn't widely known or spoken of but according to the few, Crippen was started with Raymond and Craig was the co-sign...#1 & #2, respectively❕❕❕
We as men need that prison structure if you decide to live the life. Get educated and learn how to respect yourself and others. Prison doesn't always have to be the end....use that time and get your mind right. I know I eventually did.
You sound like a clown ass fool the prison structure would be needed if it actually live by what it claimed to be as far as rehabilitation but you and I both know the prison structure does not live by that and a lot of times people go in and come out a hell of a lot worse then when they went in
@@sixmillion977 not at all what I'm saying. IF YOU CHOOSE TO LIVE THE LIFE AND GO TO PRISON. USE THAT TIME TO GET WHAT YOU LACK TO BE PRODUCTIVE. That's what I'm saying. Gang bang go to jail and make the best out of a negative....it's that fuckin simple!
@@sixmillion977 he’s not saying we NEED to go to prison to get it. But if those who choose this life go there - get that structure prison gangs like CCO, or BL, UBN offers. Crips are so rebellious they can’t be contained for long though.
