Big Money Mugs That Sell On eBay, Are You Walking Past Them? 

A friend of my Mom’s did the hand painting on the Lenox Presidential sets. The factory used to be near my town and my Mom worked there also.

The idea of drinking coffee out of that Xanax mug in the office is hilarious!

I so, so appreciate you research videos. I especially loved the t-shirt and hat ones recently, especially seeing the tags as part of it. Mugs are great because they are often so darn cheap that it's a reasonable risk to pick them up. And if you're wrong, you have a usable item until you are sick of it. 🙂Thanks so much!

I have a Le Creuset coffee mug (found while thrifting) and it is the best mug that I have ever used. The engineering that went into this mug is PERFECT (for my hand anyway). Mine is just plain white but would never sell it. Love it too much.

Ember mugs are quite expensive in the stores. Chargers are often separate about $40. The rose gold retailed for about $150. Taller travel mugs are $200 retail. Grab them if you see them out there!! That rose gold is beautiful and sold out at the store I work at 🙂

I sold a set of three ILY espresso cup/saucer set for $150. I paid $16 total. 😊 I also think sometimes people are looking for replacement pieces for sets, which is why plain ones will go for a lot!

About 10 years ago I happened to find 15 Glasbake Dunkin’ donuts mugs and I listed each separately and someone took my BIN for everyone of them which I had set higher than the highest comp. As far as collecting i have an affinity for Life is Good mugs!

Yes, the Embers have been around for several years. They took the place of the little mug hotplate that people used to sell as a novelty item to keep your coffee hot on your desk at work or wherever. 😁

That Pioneer Woman mug was actually from Ree's collaboration with QVC in 2016. She sold a few items with them before switching to WM. Awesome video

Love the mug video! Another great mid century brand of mug that sells for high dollar is HORNSEA. Mugs are beautiful classic MCM. I have a hard time parting with them once I find them.

That is my listing for the two pioneer woman mugs!!! I found those at a garage sale for 50 cents. I couldn't believe how much they were worth. And the purple one was chipped. 😲

Another great one is Deneen Pottery mugs. I’ve found 3 so far at goodwills for $1 each. Mine were less than $100 but some go up to $500 each

Just started selling, I posted 3 West Elm Potters Workshop mugs on Ebay and they sold the next day. I couldn't believe it. I never knew there was such a demand for mugs lol

I just bought a brand spanking new Versace Coffee Pot retail price tag $550

The new Rae Dunn Disney & Pixar colab mugs aren’t typically a great ROI. Retail is $10 each for the regular mugs and I believe $13-15 each with the topper. They also only tend to sell for the higher dollar amounts as soon as they’re released. Prices start dropping once they’ve begun circulating at all the stores. The only ones on your list that might be found while thrifting are the Beauty & the Beast ones since they were released last fall I believe.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. 🥰 P.S. I just learned something ELSE I didn't know! (I just HAD to Google it.) I was mentally taking issue with how you were pronouncing "Le Creuset." I had always thought it was "lay croo'say" not "lah croo'say." It turns out that it is neither! 😮 To be proper, you should actually say: "LUH-CROO'-ZAY," with the emphasis on the middle syllable, not the last. There is also a "z" sound as opposed to an "s." (Give yourself a pat on the back anyone, if you have been saying it right!)

Three years ago I sold the UTAH mug for $125.00. It had a small chip on the bottom and I almost took it back to GW. The prices have certainly gone down but I’d still buy it again!

Another wonderful video, Kat! I appreciate so very much your doing the research, and then sharing it with us! You teach us so many different and invaluable things about reselling. May I offer something that might be helpful to you? I’ve noticed you making the same pronunciation error over and over, and it’s a simple thing, so I thought that maybe I could help you with it. Living where you do, I’m sure that you’re immersed a bit in Spanish. I am pretty fluent in Spanish, but English is my first language. Because you are exposed to so much Spanish, that’s probably where the error came from. “La” is the Spanish feminine form equivalent of the simple word “the” in English. I’m sure that you’re aware of that. The error comes when you’re talking about items made by Le Creuset. Le Creuset is a French company. The “e” in “Le” sounds like the “e” in egg. Not like “a” in “La”. I realize that this sounds like a little thing, but to someone who speaks French or Spanish, it’s pretty distracting…kind of like nails on a chalkboard, even. And you do this pretty often, many times it’s more than once per video. I know that you want to have a quality presentation…one that draws people in, not pushes them away. So, I do hope that this little tidbit of information will be helpful for you. Great Video! It has never mattered to me whether it is a set of 4 or only 1, if it really catches my eye, I will pick them up. I have found some good Starbucks mugs and they did sell quickly. After watching some of your videos, I picked up a Protonix mug and a Haldol mug. I'm a nurse so I really love the Haldol mug and my husband wanted to keep it. I have the Protonix listed.

Keep a look out for Cheryl's Cookies brand mugs! I got a Cheryl's Cookies OSU Buckeye mug in a box lot at an auction. Paid 12.50 for the whole lot. The mug sells for over $100. Looks like all Cheryl's Cookies mugs designs go for quite a bit.

Great info again The Nurse Flipper! 6 months ago I found 4 McKenzie Child's mugs at Goodwill. They had just put them on the shelf. I grabbed them and sold them for $150 and I bought them for $1.99 each. I also found 2 Narwhal Molly Hatch glasses and sold the 2 for $70.

Went out to one store yesterday and found these (this was my eBay ad) - Juliska Jardins du Monde Ruby Garden Green Set Of 4 Mugs RARE - Hard To Find. Sold first thing this morning for $80. I paid $4.99 for the set. Watched your glasses video, and went to another store today and found 7 Culver green/18k gold mid century tumblers - paid $20 in total. I would expect to pull at least $100, maybe 2 sets of 2 and 1 set of 3. THANK YOU!

Thanks for the info! I love coffee mugs, I always pick up the Starbucks mugs and group them in a set of 4. Rae Dun always, and any coffee mug with any sort of characters or fancy patterns. Pottery Barn always, Pier one always. As long as they are heavy. The lightweight ones chip too easily and I haven't found one worth any significant amount of money. Went to an Estate sale on the second day and the place was pretty much cleaned out went into the kitchen to see if there was an off chance there were any mugs, looked around and wouldn't you know! Right behind me there was a built in the wall shelf system and there were 15 StarBucks mugs! I nearly screamed like Homer Simpson. Anything Tiffany/Hermes is always going to command high dollar so if you are lucky enough to get them cheap kudos to you. All the Estate sale and garage sale people know their stuff where I live :)

A couple years ago, I had a Rae Dunn (Made in China with an "M", I think, on the bottom??) that I paid under $2 for. Sat on mu shelf until one day by chance I was flipping through the completed listings, higher value items, and I saw one for almost $900. Ran home and listed mine. Sold instantly for over $850 + ship. (I almost sold it at the flea market for $5...yikes!)

Yay! Saturday morning with my coffee and Kat. Can't get any better than that!

After watching this, I went to Goodwill the next day and found 3 anthropology and 1 Molly Hatch mugs!! Total cost was $4.50! And, I also found some Starbucks mugs for $1 each. One is marked Korea.

Heath Ceramics is located in Sausalito, CA right across the Golden Gate Bridge anything Heath is expensive and a BOLO. I work in Sausalito and visit their showroom/factory all the time.

Those glasses are very flattering

A lot of the catalog/ high-end stores branch out into kitchenware and a wide range of products. It's worth looking at the bottom of a cup because it could be from a high end brand. Some are marked by individual artists too which adds to the value. Another thing to look for is signed pottery from unknown artists or local artists. People sometimes pass them by because they aren't well known and they figure they have no value. However I've sold a lot of signed pottery pieces by unknown artists for a good amount of money because they were handmade and people like handmade stuff.

I have sold many Kliban kitty pieces over the years including recently an apron. That mug though ! 😂😍🤣 The Wedgewood white mugs have me shook.

Yeah, Ember mugs have been around a while, but they're notorious for permanently staining themselves. Reselling a stained mug might be a tall order.

Hi Kat, My mom and I started getting into EBay as a hobby about 6 months ago and have had some decent success so far. She is a huge fan and actively watches your videos for tips and beginners advice. We know that diner mugs sell well, and were lucky enough to find one called “Big Daddy’s Burgers and Breakfast”, which is a NYC version. We sold it within a few days of posting for full asking price of $50. We were just wondering if you would happen to have any knowledge about it, or if it would have perhaps been worth more. Just FYI- those ghost mugs are all over ebay at this point and not $85 anymore. Pottery Barn sells 4 for $60. So the market is shifting on these, like all things do. (it was May when they were $85).

The only thing I would add is do very good research on Versace and Hermès China if you come across it in the wild ,as both are frequently faked just like the clothing. I actually worked Versace for a few years and had friends that worked at Hermès but yes they are frequently faked. Even being very familiar with both brands The fakes are very well done

The Wedgewood Grand Gourmet white China was my wedding fine China dinnerware which we have a very large complete set, and my husband broke one of the mugs from the set about 10 years into our marriage and he thought he’d just look up on eBay for a replacement and he almost fainted. Now he only uses those mugs on Sundays 😂.

Now I’m going to my coffee cupboard to check solds on my personal Starbucks cups lol

I think I might of seen some of those pharmy mugs but thought nothing of it, I'll keep my eyes peeled next time.
