Thanks for the inspiring videos!!! I got my rod and reel & tackle box out tonight. I'm going to restring and lube the reel. Restock the lures and hooks. Get my license and go throw a line in the lake this week. Be safe out there and thanks for the great video.
I am from Cleveland, TN, but have lived in Florida most of my life (although we have always regularly traveled to Tennessee to visit with our kin). First, it is a DELIGHT to watch someone who passionate about fishing...fishing. But I think the thing I like best is that there is no cursing. So many videos mess up an otherwise good video by cursing or the such. I would like you to perhaps give a clue to where you are. NOT because I care to fish the place (I only do deep-sea for the most--too impatient, I'm afraid), but because some of them look to be good places to swim or tube. God bless you, friend.
If he would tell, where these fishing places are, he would literally destroy them. They would be crowded with people directly. But he tells you, how he checks out these places. So its not that hard to find nice places on your own. Just use sattelite maps and your imagination.
#625👍 🎣👀 Sorry for being late to the party. I fished for about 1.25 hours real early this morning at my local planted lake, not even as much as a nibble. Skunked! Bah... Degraded, I took my dog on a long local backroad trip to an amazing, never before traveled to (by me) vista overlooking the CA Central Coast, Morro Bay in particular. That was sweet and so is seeing your PB creek spottie. TFS
I have a feeling it took you less than 3 seconds to decide to go fishing instead of yard work John. Ha! Nice catch on that Bass, well done. Love your vids.
Awesome video man I told you there was some Bigguns in there I caught one 3lb 11oz last fall but there's 4 & 5 pounders wait till you hook into one of them
Hu. I always feel pretty good about it. I ran wild as a young child through 22 acres. It imprinted on my the balance of ecology as i have grown. With large bass i would not want to eat them. 2 to 3 pounders sure if i was starving but the older fish accumulate toxins and parasites. Bad idea to eat them.
Man I grew up on the conasauga! Ran thru the back side of our property in north ga. Fished it. Swam it. About drowned in it. Lol. Great fishin. Love this guy!
nice spotted bass on the big swimbait - good casting - there are even bigger ones in there for sure but that was a good one! keep exploring - the cheap jon boat with some mods is the way - i would aim for the longest floats through most rapids on water with most diversity that you can manage to get to without a major production - you got the good wheels so i see you finding some good places no doubt - it takes extra effort to home in on the places with most diversity - maybe put outboard on boat? you could drive back up and stop at the hotspots #reprise #cotter pin
Nice intro, John. Always excited to watch one of your videos. I can see Fishbrain is not one of your top social media platforms, but I tag you and hype you up to the community there for your content. I’m a big fan, dude!
I've been waiting on the creeks to slow down and warm up a bit so I can wade for smallies. Your videos are a nice inspiration for those times to come. Thnxs
Holy smokes that was a HUGE spot!!! 20” fish is 1/1000 fish! Congrats man!! I just uploaded my hellgrammite video if you get bored 😎 I also have another on deck that I’m waiting to upload until my smallmouth tournament is over.
I land 8 to 12 pounders in the lake behind me all the time. Ended up using 30 lb braided proline and weedless frogs with a white bottom. The munsters crush it.
Idk if you ever fished it but I heard Kentucky Lake on the Kentucky/ Tennessee border is a fenominal Crappie 🎣👍 fishing place. I like how you move around locations & try new places.
You catch so many small sunfish and they don’t seem to hardly ever swallow the hook. Is there a trick to it? Mine always seem to swallow it and I loose a lot of them.
Congratulations on the spot - a true trophy. Where I have been fishing lately, I've caught a bunch of spots, but the better ones were about the size of those Coosas; now, the stream I'm fishing is truly a creek where I hit it, so they're limited in size. The bigger ones have been scarce the last week or so though; I think they're in post-spawn down here. Speaking of Coosas - I want to catch some of those. Next time we go to the Smokies for trout, we'll have to make a detour....they're only native to the Conassauga drainage, right?
@@CreekFishingAdventures Thanks....I figured it was all the Coosa drainage - incredible to think it's only that small corner of Tennessee that DOESN'T eventually drain into the Mississippi. Every time I'm up in the Smokies, the thought that that cold, clear water eventually ends up flowing past New Orleans as part of a big, muddy river a mile wide never ceases to amaze me. The irony is, even though I'm only 35 miles or so from the French Quarter, the water here all drains into local streams that empty into Lake Ponchartrain.
Thanks for the reply, I was looking into the same rod just trying to figure out if it's a good purchase. I'am a HVAC tech also just waiting to return to work, I do some bass fishing but not in the month of May because of the spawn thanks again I will always keep watching your videos
Thanks brother. I live in Frankfort ky. We have a great creek called Elkhorn creek. If you ever get this way you should try it out. God bless and keep you.
I've heard Spotted Bass are good to eat.I like to eat fish, but l rarely keep them.It makes fishing more fun to release them.Actually l think part of it is laziness but the bottom line is l'd rather not kill what l catch.
Brother use the bigger bait . You won't catch as many smaller ones but you have a much better chance catching some of the bigger ones . The small ones will still hit a big bait but you'll draw out more of the big ones , that's just my experience . Love the videos keep up the good work.
Thanks for the Laughs 👍👍✌ lmao rotf @ " thought about it for about 3 seconds ... yes I will go " and as always I appreciate you bringing me along on another awesome fishing trip Sir 👍👍✌ please be careful, safe, positive, & stay well 👍👍✌
Love your vids and Chris is a hell of a guy! Best sentence in this vid: "it was so cool just seeing it!" That says all about your passion and love for fishing and gods creatures!
Wished my friends were like wanna go fish a new spot. Very fishing looking so far. Spot, plop. 😁 swimmer work my friend. Sweet spot. Almost nobody fishes for those big sports either. One last joke promise. Doc doc I'm Seeing spotts! Well catch them fish. Lol
What a beautiful spotted bass, John! Great catch! 🎣 That was certainly a very clear river for fishing. Nice to see otters in rivers. That smaller profile swimbait definitely worked. Great fishing adventure, my friend! Blessings!
