Big Pharma is a game I've covered several times on this channel in the past. It is one of my favorite management sim games where you seek to make your fortune in the pharmaceutical industry. Researching ingredients and processing machines and finding which ones are the most profitable is the name of the game here, but today there is a twist: Our company starts with 250K in debt and a massive loan repayment burning away our available cash so we have to act FAST to stabilize.

Happy you covered this, as it reminded me to revisit it. (Bought it ages ago but it was too demanding for my PC at the time. Upgraded my PC and... uh... sorta forgot to actually get back to it. Oops.) I agree with you calling it a comfort game; it's challenging but not punishingly so.

Wayyyyyyy back in the day, you could. In fact, I would make such compact, tightly lumped factores with scarcely any belts that the dev nerfed that as it 'didn't look right'. Machine butting is what it was called back then. I like to give him some light hearted snark about it whenever the topic is mentioned, but deep down I do agree that it was a bit of a degenerate strategy that didn't look right. :P

Development on it is complete, and it stands on its own two feet. I wouldn't say it is old enough to label this a "Rose colored Goggles" series, but I stand by my recommendation of it to this day.
