the 47 ohm tailresistor is used by Fender on all single Speaker models with the. long tail PI ,because of the 8 ohm OT secondary, 6L6 (Vibroverb) or 6V6 (Deluxe) . 100 ohm for 2 or 4 ohm Secondaries ( 4 or 2 Speakers)
I had a 68-69 bandmaster In my shop the last few days. Not sure if an exact yr. It was one that had both a grid bias and cathode bias 6l6 so that should be a 68 or 69. It was worked on by someone else and the last tech told the owner "don't worry about the buzzing, it will go away on its own" hahaha it was a mess. Every nut was loose on all the pots, wrong filter caps, under rated bias cap, leaking preamp cathode bypass caps, coupling caps leaking and loads of other issues. It's very important to know the history of a amp sometimes hahahahah

Quick question. On NOS carbon resistors, that are not spot on, is it better to replace a failing resistor with one that measures higher than lower? The hundred you replaced was 3% over its lower tolerance and the replacement was 3% over its higher tolerance rating. Perhaps better to be high than low, pun intended. Thanks! It depends on the resistor's role in the circuit. You wouldn't hear any real difference with that variation in a plate or grid leak. But 84% vs 107% in the bottom part of a voltage divider (as is the case in this NFB circuit) is audible.
Seems like everything made these days have some type of issue .. I wonder if you you actually recomend any Amps ?.One for bedroom practice and/or one for jam/small gigs . I sold my gear years ago and just started playing casually again with some friends, but not sure what to buy( atm I use my friends katana mk2). . I also have a jazzmaster on the way now btw ..and we play alternative rock from the 90' .
So if the cable were to pull out of the chassis the hot or neutral would break before the ground, so if the hot wire hit the chassis it would trigger a circuit breaker instead of making the chassis live.
