I recently bought a car in about 8 lakhs, I was looking for a used car in a budget of 4 lac but ended up buying new one with December discount! I looked around and found Bank of Baroda's floating rate with no charges for foreclosure and part-payment is great, since I wanted to close the loan within a year. But I ended up getting Overdraft against my FD, which I found the most suitable for my needs! Rather than getting a Car/Personal loan I would suggest all eligible buyers to look for loan against FD or agaisnt your Mutual Fund.
@@kavitasethi2947 in whichever bank you have your FD call them and ask for Loan against FD. Interest rates are usually 1-2% over whatever rates you are getting for that FD. This is helpful when you still have some time on your FD to mature and also you are willing to pay the loan back as soon as possible.
Floating interest ghatne k bajaye bar bhi to sakti hai samay k sath... Aur mujhe nahi lagta loan interest aage jake kam hogi bakayda izaafa aur badega...ab 9 % pe chal rahi hai magar 10 ya 12 hotey hue jyada samay nahi lagega
Just want to share my experience. My friend got home loan of 20 Lakhs, which he had to pay for 15 years. He got Floating interest. Now, the interest has increased, and he have to pay for 35 years ago. Which, when we calculated, the amount goes around 90 lakhs. He has to pay total of 90 lakhs for 20 lakhs. It may increase or decrease, we dont know. So, i would always stay away from Floating Interest. I dont want to be greedy. Whatever Fixed interest rate is there, I would go with that. Everyone has their opinion, you can have yours. Also, Saying BJP would win 2024 elections is also not 100% guarantee. I am from Telangana. Here, everyone was hoping BRS would win, but Congress got it with 65/110 seats. So, nobody can predict the future. So, i would not take risk by taking Floating Interest. Again, its upto you, you can vote for anyone, you can go for Floating Interest. I am not against anyone or anything. Just sharing the info I got.

Regarding floating rate change, couple of things to keep in mind : 1. Borrower can reset his interest rate to a lower figure once in a given time frame, example 3 months, if the prevailing rate is lower than borrower’s current rate. 2. Everytime a borrower revises his interest rate to a lower rate, a processing fee has to be paid. 3. Since the loan is floating rate, if the prevailing rate increases, then bank will automatically increase the borrower’s interest rate as well.

I thus saved a few lakh rupees by going with the outgoing model and a fixed lower rate of interest and I am extremely happy that I trusted you and went with your advice. Interest rate will decrease whether Modi is coming or not. That would depend on inflation going forward. If you are suggesting that Modi is controlling RBI too, that's a very dangerous situation to be into.

Floating will be blunder I have face the issue during home alone they keep on increasing tenure period and u will never be informed regarding intrest rate goes down but on increase they will inform u with increased tenure period and u will end up paying more than u should and i have closed the loan last year bcz rbi have increased repo rate four times and hence banks have increased intrest rate too and eventually i have to end up paying 2-3 years of more emi .. go for fixed plus reducing .. after election is done rate of interest will go up ..bcz loan will be of minimum of 2 yrs mostly u wil troubled fluctuations and increased tenure period and emis.. dont fall for the trap please i have suffered bcz of floating intrest its biggest scam in long run u will be suffer bcz of this and might end up paying 2x or more than original amount bcz no one who is lending the money wants to have less interest and trust me no matter how mails u sent they will not listeb regarding lower intrest rates..
