Volume is irrelevant for resin printers. If you were to print a pyramid the layers at the tip would take just as long to harden as any layer before them. Excluding the first few, wich are overhardened to really make the print stick to the plate
@@gewuerzwanze5627 I'm really confused as to how this pertains to the op. Im new to all this. wasn't he just saying it'd be cool to see that full size cube of its max size?
@@kristoskalemanis their explanation seemed a little dull to me and even took me a second to even figure out(and I know how they work). So to further explain Resin 3d printers unlike and FDM printer, will print the entire layer at once, so printing a long needle(assuming adhesion wasn’t an issue) would take the same amount of time as the fill volume, as it has the same layer count. The only variable that changes is resin usage. And FDM printer would otherwise have to move around horizontally at each vertical level to fill in all the space. A resin printer can do that all at once regardless of the size
@@wohwohwohs it is critical. It's a display that blocks the UV light from areas that don't need to be cured. Read up on photography. Resin printers work on that principle only using lots of consecutive layer
That build volume is still a for bit smaller then a Formlabs 3L. The 3L is 8x the price, but resolution is also way higher. So I’m just left a little confused as to why the Jupiter which is clearly a mining for “big prints on a budget” didn’t just kick up the size a bit more to also brag about being bigger than other large printers.
Leviathan axe or something similar; multi piece with led and detailed weathering effects. Also; I’m jealous; love my Ender 5 pro but man does resin look fun
Got a Ender 3 pro and a Elegoo mars 3. And man resin is messy and stinks like hell. Also better have the cleaning station with the printer or you have to use a jar, jare, jiare,? That small glass buket for marmalade and stuff.
Pixel density is definitely important. Even 6k on this unit isn’t as fine as some other printers with smaller screens. Elegoo has the Saturn now with a smaller build volume / screen but 8k resolution.
