It's all due to min/maxing every angle of performance...well except weight. You see how the left front tire is being lifted to decrease surface friction? Yep, without that it'd be another +0.050 on the clock!
It's scary standing between two top fuels as they launch, but then add 10 feet in height, and 30,000 pounds of mass, and I don't think I would ever want to find myself there.
HELL YEAH BROTHERS! The sights and smells of Freedom. To the naysayers you do know that they use pallets of assault style rifles as the payload in the trailers, right? WOOOOOOOOOO
Not with a turbo snorkel coming out of the hood. Also, not a chance. Any owner op knows the fuel economy would be dead after all those mods. Not worth hauling with at that point.
@jaybomb5022 not sure but I think they have different settings for ECU. Just turn the knob on the dash for daily eco mode or turn it all the way up for frame twisting.
@@CrackheadBeaver That snorkel usually means his intake is custom w/o filter for racing purposes. Nobody is hauling w/o filtration you'll gunk up the motor super quick.
@@jaybomb5022 I know yes but not all of them have snorkels. More stock looking ones can do daily 800 - 1000hp pulling logs for example and on a race day the dial it up to 2000. I'm not 100% sure of course but it could be like that🙂
Most European trucks wouldn't have a chance, but there are Scania trucks with V8s, but they're not that common. Most European trucks haul lighter loads and therefore have smaller engines. But it sure would be fun to watch them get left in the dust, umm, I mean smoke.
"Hey! Daryl, let's go watch some trucks drag race." "You mean the loaded ones that blow out all that black smoke whilst climbing that hill at 25mph. " "Yeah! that's em, and we get to breath in all the black smoke too. You wanna take the kids?" " Hell yeah! the whole family's gonna go."
In fact we Brits use both words, according to the meaning required. WHILE means ‘at the same time as…’, whilst WHILST means ‘whereas’. Not everybody observes the distinction but most educated people know the difference. Unfortunately not everybody does!
The driver of that silver KW daycab Mew Machine knows his truck, as it just always pulled with little fuss. I know the rain probably made filming a bitch, but really good job as always.
I am impressed there aren't a lot of driveshaft failures. I watched a video of a "tractor pull on asphalt" one time. It must have been sponsored by a drive shaft shop. Lots of failures. It seems crazy to me one of the biggest races of this kind is in Quebec. You would think Justine Trudeau Jagger Richards would personally have the cops put a stop to it.
I will tell you why. All modern North American trucks run inline 6 cylinder engines. V 6s and V 8s are very rare here now. All of these exhausts are phony split exhausts. Looks cool, but has nothing to do with power. Us truckers just like to look cool to impress the girls.
