Fat Sam is disgusting, shameless and a fraud. He is sitting there doing the interview nonchalantly, smirking, like the Leeds job was a hobby. After talking himself up as one of the best football managers in the game and let's face it, he's nowhere near the top 1000, he failed miserably, he had 4 games to get 5 points, instead he got 1 point from possible 12 points. Two of those games were winnable- West Ham and Tottenham. West Ham rested most of their first team for that match and Spurs were at the beach and half arsed to play in the Europa Conference league. Instead they lost 1-4 to a Spurs side led by rookie Ryan Mason. I read a lot that 4 games wasn't enough time for Fat Sam to save Leeds, as an experienced manager you would know before taking the job whether the games are winnable or not. Your football knowledge and apparently Fat Sam has a lot, would have helped you assess if you can keep Leeds up. Well, he was arrogant and greedy enough to take the job and failed spectacularly. He clearly has no pride in protecting his reputation, that's last two jobs where he's relegated a team. I wish Fat Sam reads this. You're not very good, it's all in your head Sam, you're a laughing stock amongst football fans. Good riddance and hope we never see you manage a football team again.
It's not Sam's fault we were relegated, the damage was already done but there's nothing in those 4 performances that suggests he should continue in the Championship. Also bollocks that he would've kept us up if he got the job when Gracia did. Gracia got 11 points out of 12 games, Big Sam got 1 out of 4, fair enough he had harder fixtures but even so we were hardly competitive in them
I don't blame Sam for anything. He came in and gave it his best. He didn't petition for the job. He was asked to do it, and it's not his fault that he didn't have the answer within only 4 weeks of football.
This guy cares about one thing, himself. Didn't make any difference to us and didn't lose a wink of sleep on us going down, jumped straight back into his media career.
not his fault, trying to get a 4th manager bounce in one season is a stupid idea, he did well but the team looked like they didnt want to win it at all. harrison, adams, and rodrigo where the only players looking like they tried this season, big respect to sam for trying.
You are deluded he did well. 1 point in 4 games. The rest of the teams around us got more results and points including Everton win against Brighton! Defensive football and trusting in Bamford who is finished is the end of Sam. Rubbish football with no results not interested. On your judgement every one did well including Marsh because there where games we almost one. No sorry not having that!
@@iantrue2123 spot on Ian. Read my comment above. All Fat Sam had to do was get 4 points from 4 games to keep Leeds up. The games were Man City, Newcastle, West Ham and Spurs. That was more than possible. Instead he got 1 point. Pathetic.
I quite liked having the nostalgia of an old school manager around. Reminded me of Malcolm Alison era types with lots of talk. We were down anyway way before the last 4 games. Wasn’t likely to work when Big Sam baulks at even modern terminology, never mind trying to understand modern tactics.
As a Leeds fan it wasn’t a disapproval of Sam in technical terms. What upsets me is the wage demand of £500k for 4 weeks work and a possible £2m bonus. This is why football is going downhill fast. If you love the game you want to help it be sustainable.
And then he comes on here and laments about the fans not getting affordable tickets. They can't get cheap seats because clubs have to pay guys like him millions of pounds per point.
The paid him for the hit to his reputation, not his management skills. 4 games to fix a team in nose dive! No chance. He was paid to deflect blame and run cover.
Alladyce can’t believe his luck , he’s so intuitive he couldn’t spot a fake shahke 🤣. When I heard he got hired by Leeds I thought well that’s then down then .
For relegation purposes he should have came in during Gracia's tenure. The movement and attitude of the lads under Allardyce was a dirastic improvement.
He’s had his day, time to build a new future with a young vibrant coach ,1 point from 12 playing the most negative depressing football ..no thanks. I’d rather have a go and lose than roll over .
No way would I want Sam as manager of Leeds next season, starting six defenders in a must win last game of the season shows the type of football he advocates, too much credence on his vast experience, he just would not play the systems required to win games in the Championship, relying on defense & hitting on the break will not gain the points required to get promotion next season, Sam is yesterdays man, just still talks a good game.
okay Mr manager..... How would you have saved a team with 4 games left. No shit, he took a chance on us and your going to blame him. F**k off, no one can with fans like you
I respect him for what he has achieved. However, compare him to how Bielsa explained 'Spygate' and the gulf in knowledge and forward thinking is a chasm.
Credit for giving it a try, and half a million reasons why you would, but not the manager to move the club forward, i think when we started with a back 6 in a game at home we needed to win, not how we want our club to be
Thanks for trying Sam, just a shame the lads didn't take their chances in the Newcastle & West Ham matches, would've been a fantastic escape if they were clinical and that last game would've gone totally different. Needed more time with them, I think many of them had their heads in different places by the time you came in and were thinking of their summer moves.
It is nice to see BIg Sam laughing and joking so openly after sending his team to relegation 72hs ago. I wonder what Leeds's fans are feeling while watching this... :-)
I'm not happy. I thought he was what we needed because he's an experienced manager and a strong character, but he showed nothing. Boasted that he could keep us up if he got the call, said he was better than Pep and Klopp and then took us down with a whimper. He shouldn't be taking his money for that. It looks like he's just used us fro material for his podcast. But then most of our fans with podcasts wanted Bielsa out.
Ey Sam mate me and all Leeds fans I know appreciate what you tried implement, in such a short space of time you couldn’t have done anymore. Board manage to bring us the world by taking us up but just completely set it on fire with poor recruitment and decisions
As you said Sam its Leeds United, from the top to the bottom of the club its been run wrong, the 49ers are dragging there feet in the buy out, they either want the club or dont, if not go and let someone else buy the club, in regards to recruitment it was very poor, Orta Radz and the board never learned from last season, this team defence has been rubbish since we came up Bamford was poor for 2 seasons and Midfield rubbish, i want Radz to sell up and we get a proper owner who will take this great club forward, Marching On Together.
At the end of the day, the team just didn't have enough quality. Tyler Adams being the lone exception along with the goalkeeper. Adams literally kept Leeds in nearly every game he played, and once he was injured the damn gave way to the flood so to speak. For example, prior to Adams' injury, the defense normally gave up at least 1 or 2 easy goals per game, but if they had had 1 or 2 better defensive players, they would have tied or won ALOT of close games. The team was truly "competitive" in the first have of the season.
You do realise that the players need yo put the effort it and grind in yes west brom was his fault this isnt its only 4 games 2 of which he almost beat mewcastle and westham but when leeds are up by a goal they do nothing after blame the players not a manager that has 4 games to go bear in mind the shear number of clubs he has saved
I hope he doesn't stay at Leeds. Great character but he's had his day I'm afraid. Playing 6 defenders in a must win game last day of the season tells you that. Enjoy your retirement Sam lad.
They got Strachan,Eddie Gray and McAllister in to tell the players what the club means to them. They should have got some fans in,the ones who really know what it means to them,it’s their lives.
@@jhaych Yes I agree, but it would be good to let the fans have their say from their point of view,it hurts a lot more as a fan than a player could ever grasp. We stick with our team for life, players just move on and to their next big pay day,on different levels to what the normal fan feels about the club.
Complete shambles of a season for us, a chairman MIA, a DoF signing any player from USMNT, sending quality loan players out to accommodate that, allowed Klich to leave on 195 appearances, poor defending, a goalkeeper whose positioning steadily got worse and the complete inability of some players to find the back of the net. Sam did what he could and there was an overall change in the players performance, but we just lacked the quality where needed and that was a common theme right across the season dropping 25 points from winning positions in games and concerning a record number of goals tells the story. I for one, would be happy to put Sam in charge next season, he knows the game inside out and he managed to get the team to show a bit of unity towards the end, plenty of work to do and I hope the Chairman will get down to business now A.S.A.P. and get our club running again!
Love big sam since his day at bolton, yes he is a bit past it but you can understand his point of view of not turning down the ridiculous payout that leeds gave to him. Leeds themselves are badly run, spending 36mil on the unproven giorginio rutten gave the indication that those leeds boards really need a wobbling.
Brave!! He got 1 point from 4 games, persisted with Bamfraud and Ayling, played 6 defenders in the must win game against Spurs, completely ignored 2 of our most talented youngsters and pocketed £500k for doing a job piss poorly!!
@@timbarrett8039 You idiot. Do you think with 4 games left he thought he could come in and fix everything. No he did his best to save us, but yet you're blaming him for being a fool. You're the fool, at least he came in and gave it a go.
We will go straight to League 1 if we keep Allardyce. He's a dinosaur who would like to work with Ayling, Yes Ayling, Koch and Harrison again. We need a younger manager who will work with the very talented youngsters we have.
I hope Sam stays and gives us a season he's right person to sort the squad from defence too attack try and get us back at first attempt . If not manager Leeds should at least keep him on board as an advisor or even Director of football. With Sammy Lee by his side he can get us straight back.
@@lightninggornall Yes he's gotta be joking! 10 behind the ball, 1 up front, hoof it up the pitch by pass the midfield Jesus Christ that shite went out in the 1980s! It's a Myth him being a firefighter for relegation! The last 2 clubs he's managed he's taken down winning 4 just 4 in 30 games! He's a legend only in his own mind. The games moved on and he should collecting his pension! To be honest with his scandal and sacking from the England job he's shouldn't even be allowed in football! Greedy twat!
Looking back to Big Sams appointment (I never agreed to it), where the team was, it's problems on the field, awful recruitment by Orta, and the board who lived the dream but had no clear vision, it was a car crash that had culminated to the point when Big Sam took the reigns it was over for Leeds, two of the last four fixtures were games we could not win (even if we played out of our skin!), only one was a possible draw and one a possible win with that team at that particular time, and the teams body language was very evidently negative. The damage had been by done Marsch mostly (and Orta and the board), and Gracia (he started well)he had no answers and by the time Big Sam showed up it would take a miracle of biblical proportions to keep them up, I don't blame him, and at that time I doubt there were many willing managers who would have come in knowing that there would be a very high chance of failure and damage that could be inflicted on their reputation. We can question the fee he received, and if the gamble had succeeded? It's very easy for everyone to look on the situation from the outside, but what happens when you are on the inside? how do you motivate the players, who did not want to play even for their own pride never mind the club! We are in a better place now with good owners, players who are playing for the club and hungry, and a chance to reach the promised land, MOT Leeds!
These chapter captions are the killer "sam explains how to beat city" and also the recent episode 3 months ago "Sam advises Sean Dyche wht would need to do for Everton's survival" 😅 39:31
I like Sam. Think he gets treated unfairly. He is a great manager at working with what he has. He would shake the Tottenham defence, nobody else available. Why not take an old school English manager as spurs can't go any lower I'd like him, romantic or not to show everyone and win something. Tottenham Defence is rubbish and we need a man to bang them on the head and let the forward players do the business 🎉
Respectfully Sam, our replacements were decent ..Adams and sinisterra. Unfortunately you didn't get to see them play because they were injured at the critical end of season ( and sinisterra s been injured on and off all year)
i absolutely love Sam but its just ridiculous to have him save leeds with 4 games to go when the damage was already done as good as sam is even he knew it was too late to do any thing
Have watched a lot of Brian Clough videos on RU-vid. He was way ahead of his time. So many things he said are so true today, about players, chairman and directors. He must be laughing at it all. Probably crying, a real footballer!!!!
Not a Leeds fan but although it’s clear their relegation obviously wasn’t all his fault, he deserves more blame than he’s gotten. Needed to beat an already safe West Ham team 3 days after their away game in Europe, and home to a spurs a team who had taken 2 points from 7 away games to stay up, but got embarrassed in both. If he’s as good as he says he is he should’ve been able to do that
Why do you take on these mission impossible jobs? You are undervalued as it is. Aren’t you in danger of getting typecast? I always remember your quote “ if I was called Sam Allerdicci I would be Man United manager! The perfect job is open at Spurs Taylor made for a man of your talent!
We should at least consider Big Stevie Bruce. Experience in the championship (getting clubs promoted). He has exceeded expectations were ether he has gone.
4 games is nothing, its impossible to make any difference. signs of lights were show at west ham away and newcastle but the team cant defend its inherit.
And now there is talk of Gerrard in. Wtf, another disaster waiting to happen. I am a Villa fan and strongly suggest getting Dean Smith into Leeds. He knows the Championship and will do a good job. Its a good fit.
Leeds never got relegated because they couldn't score they got relegated because they coincided to many goals. Defense was shocking not Sams fault but you think he mention it.
The problem Leeds had was they got Fred Flintstone in and he is still in the stone age in his approach to todays football, sorry mate you've missed the boat and if you want to get back into football management again, then you are going to have to modernise how you coach, watch Pep and learn, because if not, then it's draw your pension time, not just for you but for a large majority of managers in the game right now, you have to Pepped...
